As a Scandinavian who has no personal relation to your culture; I find it interesting. I have not seen or heard these instruments before. But they make pleasant sounds and the musicians are clearly very skilled! The melody is very nice, but somewhat unusual to my ears. It is not really like any music we have up here so it gives it a freshness while still sounding solemn and dignified. I do not understand the poetry as I do not speak persian. It is sung with great energy and ability and with good enough voices so that I can still appreciate it to some degree. But obviously not in the same manner that a native could. I can for example not understand what the intended meaning of the song is, so I have to rely on the rythms and the melody to make some sense of it. All in all: I think it is good music and I can appreciate it in the same manner that any human could. The preformers are obviously skilled and I can recognize that too. It is very different from what I usually listen to, which is good for I like variety. That is my take on it. Cheers.

ps: ive noticed a cultural link,(concerning traditional music), between Farsi lands, and Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India......why do you all not just erase these silly borders and be a single new huge state! a multi-cultural, multi-religion state like Canada! all conflict would stop. there would be good job opportunities for all citazens of this new proposed state! you all can achieve this! i see a great new future for you all! if only the bumbling interfering yankees dont fuck it up !
