@@TheDetectits only started detecting last March with a 3rd hand Minelab Quattro, but always wanted a detector for years but didn't have the time to do it. Had fun with the Quattro so decided to upgrade a bit by buying the new Simplex+.

Are you allowed to search the water in Wales? could you look in the creek in the intro?

We may be allowed to look in the river. In most places in wales you need permission from the landowners on both sides of the river. Some places your only allowed to look for surface finds.
