Great News to Share on a Project - June Vlogs day 17 #junevlogs #dailyvlogging #knittingpodcast

Hello my lovelies, I spent the best part of my day cleaning which I didn't think would make a good vlog. So I decided to get that out of my system and join you with some exciting news on my latest knitting project. I am beyond excited to share it and think I am making good progress. Let me know what you think and I would appreciate any tips and tricks you have regard measure yourself etc for a garment.
My Eastern Jewels blanket seems to really be making progress now and I lay it out to see the loveliness. What do you think????
Finally we take the dogs on a wonderful walk; but the grass is so long. I feel I am an extra in the flake advert of in Little House on the Prairie.

Wonder is an amazing book, I really enjoyed it and the film is really good too. I don't usually like watching the film after reading the book but this was an exception. Well worth a watch. Can I also recommend 'My Sister Lives on the Mantlepiece by Annabel Pitcher. This is another thought provoking YA book. Beautiful crochet and knitting as always x

Wonder is a brilliant read, it was our book club choice a few years ago and i recently bought a copy to keep on my shelves. I've recently started collecting some children's books, the Penguin Classic collection. So far I have Black Beauty, Charlottes Web and Stig of The Dump and I fully intend re-reading them as a adult 😁😁

We have what we call Manic Mondays when we (I) go through the house. That colour looks great on you too. Gives you a glow. You could always pick up along the bottom and add a bit if you needed to but best try it with the skirts. The blanket is coming along lovely, you’ll be finished in no time. Miss my little mini Jack. She was always the biggest dog of my pack. In her mind anyway 😄 I just have the 3 pointers now who tend to take over my vlog now and then. 🙄😄

Hi Karen, I feel we have a lot in common - I was a mature student of English too and I started lecturing/ teaching and my PhD but gave them up to look after my Dad. That was twenty years ago. Now like you I’m enjoying my knitting and crocheting. You have me inspired to make the Eastern jewels blanket! My yarn was delivered about ten minutes ago so I have to do it now! I am looking forward to it. I’m making my fourth Ranunculus at the moment. Oh my halo is weighing me down right now as I’ve cleaned all the cupboards/ wardrobes upstairs and completed the kitchen ones and my walk in pantry two days ago. I’ve got my husband painting, albeit it slowly at his own pace.🙄My youngest son and his new partner will be arriving from Canada next month and I feel I have to clean everything! It’s just a woman thing I guess. Then I’m off to our home in Turkey to start on our home out there and my Mother in law’s. My reward is to bring yarn home in vacuum bags so it’s worth it. Thanks for all you do.💐
