Hello everyone. I’m Rick. I’m the person Dale mentioned in this video. A little about myself. I am a retired Law Enforcement Officer. I retired back in 2020 after 20 years of service. Before I was a police officer, I was a firefighter/EMT and worked for 14 years as a EMT during that time. I grew up on the Cumberland Plateau area of East Tennessee in a County about 40 miles West of Knoxville In an area to me that is just as beautiful as the smokies. As Dale stated. I would love to show this area to you and that’s why I’m starting East Tennessee Moto Adventures. I am currently working on a Two day ride which will be part of a bigger 4 to 5 day adventure ride that will take you through 11 counties in East Tennessee and two in North Carolina. The two day ride as well as the 4 or 5 day rides will have several stop locations to visit and take in the scenery and the History of this unknown part of the State. I will be working on a Web site, KZbin channel and a Facebook page. I have never really got into Facebook, KZbin so please bear with me because I’m old school lol. With all that said. @@Rickmac22 Thank you for the support. The tail of the Dragon will be part of the 4 to 5 day tour I’m working on. I haven decided if it will be a 4 or 5 day event yet. I’m still working on all the logistics and getting stuff lined up. When I do get it going. I’ll Look forward to having you and ridding with you. Be safe in your solo adventure.

I think, instagram would be fun for you and your business as well, with all the scenic adventure possibilities. I honestly get more engagement aside from the FB group for our KLR buddies. when you get it all set up, send me the links and I will add it to the sticky at the top of our Facebook KLR group we have, we have around 1400 and if you get with Ronald, he has the other KLR group on FB, I am sure he would do the same, Ronald is a great guy. I have ridden he tail of the dragon and consider it a must, I will go onto say this, there is many dirt and gravel and back roads around the tail of the dragon with some old log cabins from way back when etc, that I found to me as impressive if not more impressive than the tail of the dragon. I am not saying the tail of the dragon isn't awesome, because it is, however, the older I get and not being on a super sport bike anymore I had just as much fun on the old dirt roads and what not. I hope this makes sense. Dale

Count me in Dale 100%. I want to take some longer trips (I’m heading to Arkansas and Missouri next week for a two week solo moto camping trip) but I want to go with someone with more experience than me since I’m new to ADV. The Tennessee trip would be perfect so I’m all in. Dale, I’m also a state trooper that’s very close to retirement. Looks like Rick has a great plan in place.

Retirement will be here sooner than you think , or that is how it happened for me, I wasn't even thinking about it, until I cut my thumb off. hahah, It healed up, and I finished another year and called it good. I think you would enjoy it I didnt mention it because I know you dont like group rides etc. well I say that, you ride with groups all the time on the back roads and trails near home for you, it may just be you dont want to ride in a group I am in ahahaha, it is all making more sense to me this morning hahaha.
