The fact that these very good (and still pretty modern) units got scrapped says a lot about just how wasteful and fragmented our setup with railway franchising really is. A complete lack of joined-up thinking. I am sad to see them go, unlike the newer units these had a bit of character and charm. They also looked great in their original NSE livery.

What was the reason for their withdrawal? They were last refurbished in 2014, and they still look almost new.

I don’t want to be rude but the text came up on the screen to quick to read the text on screen. However I do have a problem with my eye sight and that I’m on a lot of Antipsychotics that make fatigue But great video
