It sucks that some of these changes are going to hurt the game for players that actually play the game I love setting up tents in places that are hard to walk to or take forever to walk to so I can start my hunting path because I’m a player that doesn’t grind I spawn at a certain spot and hunt on foot from spot to spot. Also changing the rare tigers is stupid players that don’t grind this change will probably prevent players that don’t grind from really ever getting one I have shot almost a 100 tigers and no rares and those 100 tigers are with no grinding either tigers that tried to hunt me or from walking the entire river.

As someone who never uses tents, this obviously doesn’t bother me. I prefer to set the reserve to a specific time walk from zone to zone to hunt and to see what kind of animals I’ll encounter on the way. I literally wouldn’t have half my diamonds/rares if I just spammed tents and never walked from zone to zone spotting whatever comes across my path.

I do the same (walk), but trolls and hard to spawn animals forced me bought tents. Otherwise I couldn't pick up all the diamonds from all the maps.

i think EW should focus on what the community is enjoying, whether its intended or not to keep people interested in the game. tahr will be impossible to get, moose and bear will be about impossible. they already arrive 5 hours late to their need zones. so what we hunt one zone and then have to change the time every time becuase they arrive so late 🤡🤡

If you teleport and the animals run, just go back to the main menu join again and you will be at your tent with the animals being calm. Its a little annoying but atleast thats a solution, Youre welcome

the changes made the game, and it's a game, to play however you want, better for the average player, like me, and now it's going to get changed back just because it's too easy for hard core players who spend hours and hours grinding. i want to be able to get rares etc, but i don't want to have to play like the hard core grinders. leave it the way it is and give the rest of us a chance to get better trophy animals. the game info says you can play the game however you like, so let people play how they like, so if you want to grind, fine, but if you don't, fine, and if you want to fast travel from tent to tent, fine, and if you don't like that you can, then don't use them, but don't stop the rest of us from using them that way.

According to Phil, the tents haven’t been working as intended since their release. He stated back then that there should only be about a 50 meter spook radius. Also, atv’s spook everything within render, not just 250 meters. As for the tigers, I’ve mentioned to you before that the reason for the slightly easier super rares is due to the number of rare fur types. With 9 different fur types outside of the common, gives you nearly a 2% chance of spawning some kind of fur. My grinding has equated to this percentage as well. 2 furs per every 100 killed. I’ve seen several CC’s getting multiple super rare tahr, but I don’t hear anyone downplaying and crying about those. It’s pretty simple really, you grind one species long enough, you’ll get super rares.

The difference between the tahr and the tigers are the tigers were built up to be one of the hardest animals to hunt or even find. Even the dev diary touches on how hard even finding a tiger was going to be. Which isn’t the case. I’ve seen more super rare tigers on the discord than super rare tahr. Sure anyone grinding for a great one Tahr will and may likely get a super rare tahr. So no big deal but I think a lot of people especially the hunters in the community were hoping tigers weren’t going to be grind able or harder to grind. Super rare tigers seem more uncommon than super rare and even Jaxy said they made a mistake with this.

@@LibbyRose12 I heard that clip in Zaggis video, but what part is he talking about? If you know enough about this game, they are functioning exactly as any other animal. They go to zones somewhat when they’re supposed to. The rare rate is rumored to be .10%ish, which is the same as pretty much every rare in the game. I watched the dev diary and this is exactly what I expected from the tigers. If you’re going to make an animal that aggressive, all you have to do is run around until you spook one and they’ll come to you. I would like to hear what isn’t functioning as intended, just saying they aren’t is just being pc and catering to the complainers. If they want to make them harder, I’m all for it. I love the tigers and likely would’ve moved on to something else already if it wasn’t for them. At the end of the day, this is a game and gamers are going to figure out how to game the game.

I know from my own personal grinding, it’s about 2% for a chance, but that’s because there are 9 fur types. The community is struggling with this math since no other animal has had that many rare fur types.

I think since there are so few tiger in the map at any given time the rare should be more likely to spawn to make up for the lack of respawn opportunities the Tigers will have. Say every 1/50 deer get a rare fur but how long would it take an average player to kill 50 Tigers when there are only max 7 on the map at any given time

I figured the tent change was specifically made because of how we have to grind tahr. How exactly are we supposed to place tents around some of these feed zones now that we can’t fast travel within 250 meters of them again? There’s no place you can place tents to overlook a lot of those zones from that far away, so what’s the goal here? I don’t know what the goal is here but I can’t say I’m particularly thrilled with these changes.

the goal is to discourage people from playing the game as a teleportation simulator between tents, and instead actually to hunt for once in their lives. Tents are kind of meant to be used as portable outposts, not grinding equipment.

I don't have an issue with tents in zones. On Sundarpatan about two-three weeks ago I had placed a tent down in a field randomly when I heard a tiger so that if it got me before I got it I would respawn in the same place. Later on I fast travelled to that tent to pick it up and from the rear window of the tent I could see several Nilgai feeding within 20-40m of me as calm as can be, not a single spook, nervous or anything. I didn't even know a zone was there because I never picked it up. But the point is, nothing seemed to be bothered by my travelling to that tent or even know that I did. Everything was fine with them and so if it were Tahr it wouldn't have affected any sort of grind; I could just crouch, walk out of the tent, turn and get them. To my knowledge, this is how Jaxy said it is supposed to work, and in my experience, it works just fine.

I farmed 60 tigers in a little over 1 night. Could've farmed a lot more. Got a 💎, a pseudo white, and a ton of golds. The 3/6 lakes works like a charm.

I don’t mind them changing the tiger rare rate. But changing the tent thing? Absolutely not, I haven’t started the tahr grind so as you said it screws me over. But the best thing about the tent change was that it got me hunting older maps and species I never enjoyed hunting. I’m doing a euro bison grind for the first time ever. Yes,I think is a bad move. I was enjoying grinding fir the 1st time in 1K hours. Saw today new map for WOTH will be revealed Thursday. So ... tempted to buy it when I didn't intend to . this is not a change, animals already spook when you use tents, they spook with, scent eliminator, when the wind is in opposite direction, or even if your crouched and not even moving which basically makes using any bow and arrows completely useless. If you dont want people getting Great ones of rares then DONT put them in the GAme simple!

The rare fur types on tigers are quite easy to get simply because there is too many diffrent fur types with tigers so its a 2% chance to get a rare fur type on a tiger which is not that rare at all for tiger grinders

I just had to visit the tents and guarantee find animals by the lakeside. (Now there's a 250-meter spook radius.) If there's no such convenience now, I'll have to roam the map to find animals. This makes me feel more like realistic.

Does Jaxy even play the game anymore? 250m is not the spook distance for an atv and animals can and still will spook from gunfire over 250m. I think this whole thing came from them messing with spook radius in the first place. The very frustrating bug he speaks of only happened under 200m. Funnily enough that same "bug" had been happening and been used going back at least a few maps he said when I asked him. That's at the very least 18 months, yet as "very frustrating " as he says it was I don't recall it ever being mentioned or complained about, yet here we are and it's their number one priority. I agree with you Zaggi, they should leave it and maybe learn from the mistake. More than anything I'd like them to stop telling lies in regards to how they feel about grinding, they don't like it and I understand why. Just grow a pair and be honest.

So EW has no problem making an update to patch all the little glitches that were discovered only recently that people came up with for their own purpose that literally have noo impact on the non grinding people but they can't fix bugs that annoy and affect everyone in the game like tracks being cutt off , and dogs bugging out in multiplayer like come on guys the dog is something that we have to pay extra for in the game focus on the more important stuff Ps. Ive been hunting on this game for yesrs. I find it as cheating as they do that tent grind strategy. Its a sim game at core and thats not real hunting. I just hope they dont clear my zones with the patch. As it will drop my population again.

I think it's a good change, anything that is an exploit should be patched out and let's be clear it IS an exploit. Being able to fast travel to different spots in the same area to farm new spawns is at best opportunistic and at worst cheating to have an excuse to brag. I know this opinion won't be popular but I'm dying on this hill as a fan of this game and how it's supposed to be played.

This game was already falling off. The sundarpatan update made it fun for a short while but now they’re nuking the game again. Prob just gonna uninstall it for good now.
