Great Plains Schools for the Deaf tournament

It’s coming!!! Great Plains Schools for the Deaf basketball & cheerleading tournament happening this week! If you’re near the area, come! If you’re far away, share ISD’s live stream! 🙂 During my time when I played, the gym filled with alumnas, community members, random fans, and players/coaches. I felt the support! Let’s support our Deaf youth at Deaf schools by encouraging them and rooting for them. Your presence makes a difference. 🫶🏼

Edit: Jan 31, Oklahoma School for the Deaf will now be joining us! They couldn’t join due to weather related issues but after some discussions- it got figured out! Whoo! So count OSD in for this year!

Renca signs “dodo Feb 2 to 4? Iowa school for the Deaf is hosting GPSD. What’s GPSD? Great Plains Schools for the Deaf basketball and tournament. It’s similar to Clerc Classics but that’s for Division 1 Deaf schools aka big Deaf schools to play against each other with a few special invitations. Same idea as GPSD. However it’s for Division 2, for small Deaf schools to play against each other with a few special invitations as well. Now, the gym is empty. But for GPSD- let’s fill the place up and support our Deaf youth!

First school Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind- CSDB Bulldogs. 2nd school New Mexico School for the Deaf- NMSD Roadrunners. 3rd school Arkansas School for the Deaf- ASD Leopards. 4th school- Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf- MSAD Trojans. 5th school Iowa School for the Deaf - ISD- Bobcats. 6th school Wisconsin School for the Deaf - WSD Firebirds. 7th school - Metro Deaf School - MDS Cheetahs. 8th school- Kansas School for the Deaf- KSD Jackrabbits. 9th - two schools w honorable recognition - Missouri School for the Deaf- MSD Eagles and Oklahoma School for the Deaf - OSD Bison.
Last scene Renca is dancing towards the camera and covers it up w her hands while the text reads “Let’s support our Deaf schools!”
