Wish this came in a 2 step option. Would be a good beach ladder for limited mobility. Lilly pads beach ladder looks silly.

It could easily be cut down and the ends capped off to protect from scratches. I’ve see this converted into a beach ramp too. The other ramp for a pontoon is usually too wide for a tritoon.

Nice! For those of us with mobility problems this ladder is a godsend. It’s stable with deep flat rungs. Deploying it from the deck will be a challenge for me. Now all I have to do is find some grab handle loops that extend at least to the height of the fence. Gotta have a ladder so I’m adding it to my wish list. On another note; my houseboat plans have changed a bit. I’m now using an 8’ 6” wide by 27’ long Avro Delta tritoon chassis built by Pontoon Source in Toronto. YES!! I’ve found a Canadian pontoon equipment supplier that’s a stone’s throw away from me. I’ve had to extend the boat cabin to 18’ to accommodate the interior amenities I need. Putting everything into a 16’ cabin just didn’t work.

I had a customer with this ladder on his boat who cut the bottom part off an old used folding ladder so that he was left with the nice beefy and tall grab handles. You could probably do something with a hook or pole to deploy and stow the ladder so you don't have to reach down over the deck to use it. So glad you found a supplier! You will appreciate the extra 2' of space BIG TIME! Our cabin was 18' and we wished it was 22' to include a little more space for storage and such. Either way, you're on the right track and I can't wait to see when it starts moving along!

@@tomspontoons, delivery of the “chassis” is scheduled for early November with the aluminum cabin shell shortly after. Then I can start installing RV windows, doors, appliances (some dual fuel) and cabinetry. Living the dream Tom, and your terrible influence is to blame. 🤪

It’s a really great ladder. We had it on our boat and loved it.

Hey Tom, would you ever do a video of duel engine wiring as far as throttle and gauges? You mentioned to me before about the battery set up is a little unknow but what gauges would be different in a duel engine setup? like would you need two of each gauge?
@tomspontoons3 ай бұрын
Of the nearly 100 boats I’ve restored since starting Tom’s Toons I have never played with a dual motor setup. Most of them that I’ve seen run either have a digital gauge for each motor separately or have a shared gauge that relays to a large display or graph screen using NMEA 2000. Wish I could be more help, but I’m pretty sure with where we are and the boats we work on I won’t tackle a twin engine project.

That’s the ladder I use on my personal boat! Love it. Only negative: It interferes with my crank-up trailer 😂 I don’t sweat it, my pontoon only travels 1/4 mile from yard to landing. I added a third set of bolts to mine, all the way back. I was able to flush mount the ladder to the front of my tooner, and get three crossmembers

@@J.W.W.yep! It won’t hurt for short tows, but if you’re hauling all the time every trip you’d want a bunk trailer for this style ladder in most cases I’ve seen
