The toughest light I have ever seen and its brighter than previous versions
This flashlight is the toughest flashlight that I have ever seen. I am a longboard skater and skate hard and fall hard. This light hangs from my wrist by a cord so it gets slammed against the pavement when I fall! I had dozens of metal flashlights simply eventually explode but these Energizers are designed and built to survive
incredible abuse. I bought another one because I lost the one I skated with for about 5 years. I am a EE and I am very impressed with the ruggedness of the electronics and optics. The lens won't shatter. I turn it off and on many times during my skating sessions so eventually the rubber over the switch failed and the switch solder joints failed so I resoldered another switch in its place and the flashlight worked flawlessly. Over 5 years I have probably fallen well over 100 times over 5 years. Sometimes the light gets launched and I always find it intact. Sometimes it gets grinded against the asphalt which does shave off some plastic but still works. This IS the flashlight you put in your Go Bag. Honestly I never thought it would have lasted this long. Yes I do wear protective equipment otherwise I would have quit long before the light but you won't put it through what I have.
Get the latest version and use Energizer Max batteries or equivalent for max brightness and life and no I do not work for Energizer.
