Splendid off road action once again at _The Dunes!_ We fans got 100% of our Train Bonus dietary requirements for sure, and maybe a little extra in that second group! Yay! Got to see Johnny Smoke in his Sand Burner compete today; I have been following the build process of that entry. Finished all four runs and advances to the next round, terrific job by SST Diecast! GTR, my continued appreciation for taking on the added workload of running both events concurrently and this half pipe provides so much opportunity for last moment passing!! 💯😎🏁

Johnny Smoke's last to first run was as good as a single run can get. It needs to be in tbe Dune's all time highlight reel. The best four made themselves known in today's set. But the others had their moments, like Iron Hat's rumble for first. The B Class final 16 looks to be a well matched group.

Great to see Strike back but not so great on the races for him..! The truck looked so good but didn’t go so well. Looks like something broke in the second race. He couldn’t get over the Dunes after that !!? Learned a lot already for the next time… Great fun as always !!

Yeah, nothing broke, but sometimes all it takes is a couple of bounces off the sidewalls before the dunes to slow up a vehicle enough to cause it to stall. Why it happened twice to you is pure bad luck. 😢 I hope all the builders can learn from watching these races.

The tow truck at the finish line. I've this but, it doesn't have the red hook. Is that original, maybe a different year made? Mine is tan and has two hooks, in shape like a football goal post upside down.

You just made me think of a green Hotwheels tow truck I had as a kid. It was shaped like a boat and had two hooks. The tow truck you see was gifted from Oregon Outcast Diecast.

I still have my old hot wheels, I'm over the hill too. There's this blue truck no bed. I think something is missing to it.. On the rear is a steel bars come out connect to a horizontal bar and it flips on towards the cab then, out past the rear end. I remember loading my cars onto it and towing them around. 🤣🤣the memories

Why were their no extra points given to the (2) vehicles for landing on the railroad in the third G8 race? Not that it mattered -- really.

The 2 extra points are given only once in a 4 round race to the driver that derails Billy's train.

Seems Turnpike Ike just proved a point. Seems the heavier vehicles do not have enough speed to make it over that 1st dune with EASE. Ya know, the Dune that dictated the minimum clearance. I think 70 g is too much. Maybe 55 g Max? Anybody else?
