Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve: Jack and Colton are road tripping through Colorado and get to spend some time at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. The entire dune covers more than thirty square miles and sits at the foot of the Sangre de Christo range of the Rocky Mountains of South Central Colorado. These are the tallest dunes in North America with the tallest dune towering over 750 feet high.

Go about June 1st when Medano Creek is flowing. Check with park to see as it is different each year and depends on temp and snowmelt. If you have a 4 wheel drive, the back country road is an interesting trip too.
