I think it has to do with the divisive preference of ‘little to no cushion’ and anything more than that. There’s the argument of there being too much bulk from cushioning. But also, it’s not like there are boots that WEREN’T successful bc of low/no cushioning. That comes down to heel shape/design. Like the puma ultras(1.3/1.4), that one nailed the low profile heel for me.

I don't know mate... I think they're catching onto it though, boots like the new King Ultimate 2.0 are a great example of boots that have MASSIVELY improved heel areas

I LITERALLY just bought a used(but near new) pair of these on eBay and played in them for my Sunday league today. Upper feels money, but that high heel and minimal (heel)cushioning led to weak lockdown there in the heel, and the height and sharpness/firmness on top of that heel also just felt too aggressive. It hurt after 45, so i had to switch back to the yatagarashus at HT😭

Similar yeah, although Adidas sizes can run long sometimes. I would go off of the JPN sizing (also known as the CM sizing)

So these things are absolutely NOT worth $250, but I got to fondle a pair and holy crap the leather is soooooooooooo good. I see they're being cut by over 50% on some sizes on Amazon, and I think they'd absolutely be worth a look at that price.

@@NoahCavanaugh I have the Luna 2 still sitting in the box. But the new Messi F50 white/chameleon is really sweet(and HybridTouch 2.0!). My best footballing years was while wearing the adidas Predator 18.2, and Luna 2 definitely remind me of the feel.

Just my opinion, but Umbro boots aren’t worth making videos about. A retro review of an older boot would be more interesting to me if there’s nothing new from the good brands.

I completely disagree mate, EVERY brand needs air time because without it, no one will know whether to stay away from the brand or not. ALSO, the more criticism that a brand gets on my (or other reviewer's channels), the more likely they are to be influenced to change.
