Great walks: Great Gable

I did it via green gable from borrowdale up sour milk Gil 2 weeks ago . That took me 3 hours from the bus stop . One of the best climbs Iv done there particularly with the weather . I came down towards the corridor route back to borrowdale .

i did it way back in 2003 on remembrance Sunday.. it was packed! from the Stretcher box.

Head towards Wastwater from the summit and you will reach the Westmoreland Cairn. Worth the detour. Seems a shame to only do Gable though. Corridor Route onto Scafell would be my plan then back to Wasdale. There is a Remembrance service at the summit of Gable. Several thousand people may be present if good weather is forecast.
