Just finished listening to this podcast, and honestly, they shouldn't have used the term "Chinoy" as part of this podcast. They didn't really talk about the Chinoy culture. I feel like they were just talking about Chinese culture. They kept saying, "I'm Chinese." And even in some vlogs of Kryz Uy, I never heard her say she's Filipino, so I'm quite confused. Most Chinoys I know think so highly of themselves as Chinese. I get it. They're proud of their roots. But aren't they Filipinos, too? But why do I get the feeling they're not proud to be Filipinos? And also, are Slater Young and Kryz Uy really Filipinos? Sorry if this seems to come off offending, but I'm just so curious and I'm also quite upset. I have Chinese blood, too. But my heart belongs to the Philippines and call myself Pinoy. I just feel like it'll be easy for these people to give the Philippines up in worst-case scenarios. P.S. I know negative comments on their KZbin videos are usually deleted, but I hope they'll find this intriguing and respond to my thoughts in their podcast. I just want to hear their thoughts about it. Peace out!

You should be proud that you're part of a group that's only 3% of the Filipino population but controls 62% of the nation's wealth; most ethnic Chinese in the Southeast Asian bamboo network take pride in Chinese values such as hard work, entrepreneurship, and filial piety, which more often than not lead to success.

@@nnf9431 I don't know where u got that data from lol, but to me it seems more like an embarrassment of being Filo than anything, majority of southeast Asia especially tai-kadai groups (Thais, Viets and Singaporean) are mainly Chinese blooded and came directly from south china but if u call hem Chinese they will be offended. Why don't see the same with chinoys? that group came directly from south china and yet don't call themselves chinese

The bigger concern for the Philippines should be the Moros who despise Filipinos and want to secede and even take away huge chunks of the Philippines. How come we don't hear a lot of criticism when the Moros openly insult and Filipinos in general?
@PHlLlPPlNES Жыл бұрын
@@llpp11 But you seem okay with the Moros who openly despise Filipinos and even go as far as killing Filipinos to expand their territories. How come I don't hear people criticize the Moros for their nasty behavior? Instead the Moros are rewarded with more favors and incentives. This is sickening.

@@nnf9431 This has already been debunked. The reason Chinoys dominate the Philippine economy is because of exodus of rich merchants from China during the rise of Communism. This led the rich to flee from China and settle in Philippines and other ASEAN settlements. So while the natives were recovering from war and colonization, the rich Chinese had a head start in business. Please stop spreading the misinformation about Filipinos being lazy, that's a lie perpetuated by Spain.
