Pam Grier and Tamara Dobson were a couple of my childhood crushes. Foxy Brown, Coffy, and Cleopatra Jones were my favorites. Always get a kick out of Coffy driving through that dude at the door, and Cleo’s chase in her Vet followed by her using her MAC-11 in that shootout. Love them! Cleo also had another one of my favorite actresses, Shelly Winters.

I was pleasantly surprised with the addition of Pam Grier. More than often, black women in movies are overlooked via racism. Not to mention, Pam Grier was the very 1st female action star. It wasn't signory weaver!

@myersmoviemomentsАй бұрын
Ripley is in the first video I did on the channel. I wasn't even sure at that time I'd be making more videos so wanted to be sure she was included there. For the other films, the channel focuses mainly on 80 and 90s films, with newer ones only recently being added to some videos. The channel set out to be the same as Benjy's clip channel, only with older movies.

Back in the day: you could just wall run, and it was both so weird and intimidating, that it made sense that it would throw off someone's aim. Now, no one can do a wall run, without slowing it down to show "how cool it looks". What happened to the raw actions of someone power kicking someone into a wall, and the last thing you see is not them dramatically walking on walls, but, your fellow officers being kicked through a wall, and that feeling of "No way, this isn't happening." We have to come up with a new version of this, for action movies sake.

I thought it was incredible to see Renne Russo fighting, but if you look a little more closely, you can see that she was replaced by a stunt double, so it's not fair to compare it to Carrie Anne Moss's scene. It's so detestable to see stunt doubles in place of actors in fight scenes, this should never happen, because we want to see actors' performances, with the obvious exception of risky scenes. These must be recorded by stunt doubles.
