Awesome Vettes!

Hold on that first engine bay picture shows a cast iron manifold with a Rochester carb and cast iron heads......hmmmmmmm. Sorry this car is not worth $150-200k in its current condition. If it was all original then maybe.

Having paid only $3k for an LS-6 vette you should have tried a bit harder to replace it with all original parts !! and its an M-22 rockcrusher!! And removing that original 4.56 rear was a mistake!!!! you never drive it anyway!!!

Original standard transmission was the M21, the M22 was optional unless it also had ZR2. The 4.56 was likely a Motion install as you could not get that on LS6 even with the ZR2. With the standard M21, the lowest gear you could get was the 3.55. Standard was 3.36 and 3.08 was also available. With M22, standard was also the 3.36, with 3.08, 3.55, 3.70 or 4.11 optional. The Turbo 400 was also available, standard gear was a 3.08 with 3.36 optional.

Beautiful beautiful car indeed! I wish my 72’ was spec’d out like this. My only issue is the fact that he wants to pass it down to his daughter. Even if she does have the same respect & reverence for the car, it’s not a good business decision in my opinion. I’d sell now. Take the $150-200k money and buy her a nice $50-60k C3. If you can get that much for this car I’d do it because it’s not gonna keep going up. I think quite the opposite, really. It’s at this value now because there are ppl who have placed that value on cars like these. Those ppl, unfortunately, are dying out. So will these evaluations. Look at how Gen X and Gen Z is changing the game at auctions. I remember a time when a restomod could NEVER sell for more than a completely restored model. In another 30 plus years I don’t think any combustible engine will command ppl’s respect or attention. I think if classic & muscle cars are still on roads, they’ll be converted electric cars and who’s popping hoods to see batteries? lol My .02 anyway..
