@@johng1732No, Christianity is by origin an Eastern religion. Therefore it can be argued that the Eastern Orthodox Church is the original.

@@paullewis2413 that's a bit subjective to say it's an eastern religion. While the main happenings of Jesus' life were in the east. It could be argued that Christianity really didnt start there. The early years one could say it was still considered Judaism as that's who were the followers like the ebionites. After the destruction or Jerusalem and the death of James, the religion was taken over by the Pauline version. my view the Christianity that we know today in the east and west started away from the middle east with the Gentiles and Paul in Rome where the first Pope's were. Even when Constantine took over and there was a power struggle between rome and constantinople both are considered to be in Europe(although Constantinople is basically the boarder of Europe and Asia. It was widely accepted that European Christian's were the rulers of Christianity. If it weren't that way I dont think the Great Schism would have happened with the East separating from the west. I think both sides have their arguments of what was what but I personally think the Western Church has a greater claim to being the originators. What do you think? I enjoy seeing other view points

But it is my faith, ie the object of my faith, namely Jesus Himself, that is the treasure, chasing after relics made of wood stone or whatever is idolatry and a futile waste of time. I might bother to watch a vid like tis for entertainment, but for no other purpose

Relics help some people feel closer to Jesus. They also help prove his existence and prove he was a real person, not a story book character. Relics are not idols.

It sounds like you don’t believe physical evidence of Jesus exists. Don’t you believe he was a real being?
