i've been installing underground utilities for 30 years in chattanooga..dug into an area at the westin.parking of masonic lodge has old lot under it..old bluecross buildings have the fancy windows and sub basement.one has a nice tunnel that crosses under streets and has a rotating glass door and a receptioness at the desk..folks dont know that there is a lower level where the small coal train used to run from the wheeland foundry area into downtown to feed the boilers of the buildings for heat.

almost every major city in America has an underground tunnel system… lots of old buildings if you pay attention have these windows ground level with part of where the window would exist under ground… now why would architects build windows with parts of the from submerged? this phenomenon is found all over America… another interesting fact: every major city in America experienced a major fire destroying the oldest parts of their city….. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Whats even more interesting is that these fires took place mostly around the civil war time…. and most were not casualty of wars…. now about preserving the underground history…. This is not a history that the Smithsonian wants told…. because once you start digging into the past of America you will discover a shocking truth, or rather the blatant lies we have been told concerning americas history. So i highly suggest and encourage anyone who is even the slightest bit curious to do some research. Start with fact checking what ive said about city fires and underground tunnels/cities etc… ALWAYS QUESTION EVERYTHING AND SEE FOR YOURSELF

7:45 "what other city has that?" Is he serious?? Most of the cities have these half buried brick buildings, even in the small town Canadian town where I live. Only difference is there is no explanation given for my buried buildings. 5:19 "the real evidence". Yes it is, and it can be found in almost every town from North Bay to the Florida Keys. Don't take my word for it, go look at your own main street, where ever you may live. Are we to believe that every town was built by idiots, and every town needed to have the street level raised to prevent flooding? Flooding that they didn't notice until all the buildings were up?? RIDICULOUS! They must think very little of our ability to think, wouldn't you say?

In jr high and high school my buddies and I were on a quest to get to the underground. We knew it was there by looking through doors in basements that went down to somewhere or grates showing passage ways connecting buildings around first pres and adjacent buildings. When a senior in high school we were given tons of paper in an old law office for our paper drive, senior trip and all that. We could only access the paper after hours which suited us fine. The building and much of the block was to be demolished shortly. After hauling paper a while we went exploring and found a labyrinth underground, connecting to other buildings. It seemed to extend in all directions. We were ill equipped for exploration but we did fine antique formal wear, tuxedos and gowns. My friends and I were both exhilarated and saddened knowing a wonderful place was going to be destroyed forever. If my memory serves me right, that was near 4th and cherry. The joy of exploration and adventure continues with me to this day.

You forgot the Tivoli Center. If you go through the right doors in the "basement" you can get under the sidewalk. You will also see the arched windows that have been bricked in. I fairly certain that Mr. Luken would be happy to allow someone to take some video and photos to document. It would be worth a phone call.

Great job, Maury. As a child, I was amazed at the underground tunnel in the Miller Bros. department store. My Mother and I would eat lunch at the little diner there, just to thrill me! While in real estate, I was showing a commercial property near the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Broad St., and, on the first floor, you could see, at ground level, the decorative brick tops of windows. That' s pretty far away from the river, so I wonder what happened there.

This short video is one of the best, more relevant explanations of this "underground Chattanooga" myth I've seen. For those of us that grew up here in the 40's, 50's, 60's, remember "The Big 4" barber shop next to Baily music on Cherry Street between 6th and 7th, and their "underground" pool hall with the secret door leading down from the shop. This video explains how that may have happened. But it was rumored that it had been a "Speak Easy" during prohibition era, but who knows if that was true or not..

That's the story they keep saying and the underground railroad. But if you notice these tunnels are fully built with brick, they have arches even, and e even were designed with air ways to move the air through the tunnels and these tunnels connect the whole city. They even go from all of downtown to the capital building and mysteriously, they always connect with the old free Mason buildings, the hospitals, jails, asylums, old libraries, surprisingly all pre 1900 building connect to each other. Note how speak easies wouldn't have the capability to build stuff like this. Maybe they can dig out tunnels, but something like these tunnels require lots and lots of money and people, engineers, a whole country basically getting on the same page and modern day tools and it would take dozens of years to make. 😅😮 its literally a whole underground city and not too mention every single city or at least most cities in the US have them. It is not an isolated incident... food for thought

So then there should be basements below the original first floors, right? The original basements would now be sub-basements. Also, what the hell? Why do so many American cities-with very short histories compared to other world cities-discover underground streets? How can a city that’s been around less than 200 years not remember/have records that vast portions of it were buried?

Australian here . January, 2024. A lot of info has come on YT vids about previous civilisations being damaged or destroyed by some catastrophic event which seems to have visited many parts of the world. There are vids on mud floods which seems to be what has happened to Chattanooga. Buried in many feet of mud, . There is suggestion that every 138 years a catastrophic event occurs on our planet. See vids Archaix. by Jason Brashears on The several vids he has produced on the Phoenix . Arrival again in 2040. Terrifying for sure. I came across a couple vids worth a look on melted buildings. One being .. Frutkis , the other.. Hidden Truth. Many others also on Tartaria and mud floods etc.

I lived in an old circa 1900's house on Bailey Avenue that was so damn cool. The basement and attic were actually rooms for tenants at one time. You could still access those rooms and it was bizarre. Like these miniature apartment rooms. I was exploring the basement one time and found what I thought was a body in one of the rooms. Turns out it was a homeless person sleeping. Talk about scaring the shit out of you.

Same thing in every city in every country in the world. Looks very much like the buildings were built, then the terrain-level raised (perhaps through natural disaster), then many of the basements were dug back out, which is why the basement windows tops are often just above ground level; thousands - or probably hundreds of thousands - of buildings worldwide. The evidence is overwhelming.

I worked at a radio station in my local area that owned 1/2 of a city block and I had to go into the basement one night to get to our phone infrastructure and I couldn't believe what I saw. The stairs went down 3 stories and I saw the windows that went into the dirt in the street. I looked at the old pipes and the coal chutes and clearly the grade of the street was 10 feet lower than where it is today. No one could explain this. There were no people who were alive back then when this building was built. I have seen this in other cities. I don't know why they did this in so many places

if you are building with heavy material like stone and brick you have to build foundations, which means you excavate below topsoil level into hardpan. since you already have a big pile of dirt and a big hole, you have basements and the fill to raise the terrain around buildings. if all you had was donkey carts, how far would you haul the dig materials? or would you just infill your neighbourhood? basements are a practical thing, they keep cool when its hot out and warmer when its very cold out. these things were valued pre electrical grid and hvac systems. plus underground is a good hidey hole, thats just human nature. there are plenty of things that don’t add up in life, manchu picchu and covid for sure, i am not sure mudflood tartaria theories hold up under scrutiny, they need more work. i like the tartaria theory but i just see too many ways to discredit it with logic. deep down we all know something doesn’t add up, but i wont cling to anything, let alone a theory that is shakier than the current set of shakey worldviews. keep on thinking and have an amazing day.

a polite, non inquisitive, really restrained look at the mud floods; not even a hint of historical revisionism, appalling!

are the cop people still forcibly baptizing people in that county? seems like that uniformed criminal gang should be defunded before they defund the taxpayers there.

Jeff is way too much of a history romancer... if he wants to "preserve" something he should buy it, otherwise keep his hands to himself...

Offer them a job. Some hope. Some food. Some clothes. Some weed(no alcohol or drugs) and try and be a decent human being... Just realize,us folks are just one bad day away from homelessness and bad bad times and it could happen to you brother...in a blink of an eye, shit changes. Be ready. If you recover, cool. Praise God. If you don't,it's a rough ride and can happen to anyone.

Crybaby haha the trump cult... January 6th committee is getting real... Trump lost. More hated him than liked him. Hence, President Elect Joe Biden Start whining...but remember our economy before trumpism. GW Bushs five dollars a gallon gas y'all defended. Trump praising Putin for four years adoring Putin calling him a "genius" for invading Ukraine... Putin expected trump to win and walk right in with trump's blessings. Like Khrushchev said in the 50's..."We will take America without firing a single shot"! November 2016 the trump cult blessed the trumpputin coziness. Defending trump's treason. Cyber attacks and election interference. So,trump lost. By a landslide. Then trump refuses to leave office, had a disgraceful meltdown, incites insurrection and his wild eyed radical maga hat wearing terrorists attacked our Capitol killing five people including four Capitol police officers screaming to hang Vice President pence taking time to shit on the Capitol floor between attacks on Capitol police with fire extinguishers and bear spray repellent. This is anti American anti democracy treason. That's why trump lost...get over it.
