The protagonist isn't too silent (similar to Joker), can use any Bakugan (much like being able to use any Persona) and they're thrown into another timeline (much like the whole thing between Persona 2 Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment). But besides that, I will say this, no matter what. ...I miss Leonidas. ;_; Like...Sure, Defenders of the Core's gameplay was much different but come on! It wouldn't have hurt to include Leonidas as an easter egg or Old Save Bonus if you had the original game!

Also the main character in defenders of the core is not the same character that the player is in the first game which really sucks . Also Marduk and vladtior are not even mentioned in defenders of the core which would make that game more of a stand alone game then a sequel to this game .

A strategy I used sometimes when I used to play was that I would use the lowest cp bakugan, then use a Gate card that switched the power levels of the two Bakugan. Sometimes my bakugan would get a cp level of 700 while the opponent's bakugan got 130 cp because of the switch

I played this on my ps3 back in the day. I was so good at the game that i was able too throw and hit my opponent and barely battle on my own cards. I even won once with no ability cards being used. The game is fun but easy. Especially if you know what type too use. If i remember i think i used wind because fire was too easy to play but also wind has better ability cards. I can't remember completely as it's so long ago. Also i remember light being strong too.
