I love all these videos. They are great (for their technique). But any poor amateur watching this will think weight forward weight back hinge life Gary but not Like Greg and then open face hands behind oh no weight forward again and then hit it hard and play off one leg Like Trevino and hit 3 hit 5 inches like Monty Oh no 3 inches Like Miller 😐🙁😝

Agreed - Pick a method that is known to work and stick with it. Everyone does it differently. I do exactly what Dave Pelz says not to do and have no trouble out of bunkers.

can't remember which pro i learned it from - but ( right handed ) i turn left of the pin 45* - then i open the club face hopefully 45* and swing across the ball from the outside to the inside slicing across the ball. because of the slicing swing - the sand doesn't brake my club and the loft is really good. control the length with power. the ball will loft high, bounce and spin right a bit. works really well with a little practice. i never have to take a second shot from a bunker.

I learnt that adding loft to the club in the sand is counterproductive. If you do open the club face you are thinking too much and probably aiming away from the target. Most people have 3 wedges pitching, lob, and sand learn to hit one effectively in practice. It's like painting you don't want to copy another's stroke make it your own and feel the shot.

Sorry Mr Faldo, but you can't ground your club in the sand then take your grip! Yet you Pro's have a good swipe at us armatures, tut tut!

He’s talking about how you should practice the shot - it is a pre-round drill - not how you do it during a round.
