It is unbelieve how many watches were launched and how diverse they were during the 80s. Some of them are like no others, no compromises, just betting to be really different instead of playing a safe move. I remember that the Caso Digipaper was the coolest thing you can wear as a teen back then, and I don't have it.

As a child of the 70s and 80s i remember my love of watches starting with the emergance of more affordable digital watches becoming available and kids at school having them ( i remember a brand called Beltime being popular). But because they were still more expensive i had Sekonda mechanical wind up watches. I actually remember purposely overwinding a sekonda in thr hope my parents would get me a digital watch

I never wore digital watches growing up in the 80s. I guess it was just too popular and ubiquitous during that time and I really snobbed hard against it. I much preferred the look of analog displays back then. But it was digital watches that resparked my love for watches a few years back... I guess I got swept up with everyone else in the nostalgia for the 80s! 😅 And nothing symbolises the 80s more than digital watches!
