Remember Ubuyashiki knew Muzan was coming.. the family knew and had a chance to flee--- they chose to stay with their father and spouse, by staying they knew they were dead, Muzan would kill them so they would rather die fighting, aiding the demon slayer core confronting Muzan without any fear without him having power over them!

Tanjiro can smell, Zen can hear, Ino feel/sense and Master can see his future. Which is why he doesn't need guards and why the family was wealthy. The for sight ends at the Masters view though. Which is why he didn't see Muzan's trap. It was basically the best he could do knowing he was out of time. And I believe the kids died there because with them their it was the only future that he could set Muzan up in.

I definitely agree that it's unhinged to let your children die with you in such a horrific way, but that's what we're learning, that Ubayashiki is not your average human. Also, not only did the children agree to stay with their parents, if you think about it, they are sacrificing themselves for the safety of the younger siblings. It would lead Muzan to believe that the whole Ubayashiki family is dead, and he won't be compelled to pursue the other children. He wants the whole family wiped out. This way, by having the eldest children there, he'll think he killed them all and won't go after the others. Those children have such a strong, inhuman resolve like their parents.

I would say a good reason to get all the retired hashira into the castle would be that if all the current slayers died, they could train new ones. Don't know if it happens though.

Ubuyashiki wanted his family to not be there at the explosion but they stubbornly stayed and Ubuyashiki was too weak to do anything about it. With the family being there it made Muzan not suspect anything.

If it wasnt for the fact that this episode proved that decapitation doesnt do in Muzan Tanjiros shit talking line at the end should have been "I'll be the one to take your head! Muzan Kibutsuji!!" Would have been a nice call back to when he made that same threat when he first met him in Asakusa. But alas "I absolutely will defeat you! Muzan Kibutsuji!" Is fire too.

If you noticed when the Hashira's are running towards the mansion, it feels like they're slow... They're so much faster when killing a Demon, it's because The Hashira's didn't know where the Master is except for The Stone Hashira. The other Hashira's are running a little slow because they're being guided by the crows

The ubuyashiki family are mentally way older than they appear. So basically the kids are children sized but have the wisdom of an elder. Theyre very smart and wise. And those 2 wanted to stay with their father. The other 3 are safe and sound. And also fun fact: the crows went into the infinity castle willingly to help the hashira. The dedication 👏

41:10 In the nuance of that Japanese conversation, Muzan meant to say "From now, you all are going into the hellish place "Infinite Castle", and y'all die there!", and Tanjiro meant "We no matter what will kill you and send you to the Hell!" Surely none of the Demon Slayers there will go to hell after they die but to heaven, on the other hand, no doubt Muzan apparently needs to go to hell if he dies, so Tanjiro lierally said "Die!" with that. They meant subtly different about saying "hell".
