I would argue that Rewrite the Stars is not generic, given that it's about the impossibility of an interracial romance in the 19th century, but I digress. Great work as always!

I MEANNNNN yeah fair. but it's not like they MENTION those specifics in the song itself; if you heard "Rewrite the Stars" out of context of the film, it's just about an impossible/forbidden relationship. but pretty much every song in every musical is built to be universally applicable to better connect with the audience, so i get what you're saying. :P THANK YOUUUUU!

Yeah, out of context, I see that. But the context is necessary to really grasp the true impossibility of their situation, or the scorn they will receive if they decide to continue their relationship. Once you know the context, it really doesn't fit the standard hollywood romance mold. As a kid from an interracial romance, the song really hit me hard, and it made me remember the struggles my parents had in order to be together when they were younger. I'm just super protective of the song because of it, haha! And you're so welcome - I always look forward to your vids.

ohmygodohmygodohmygod why didn't i watch this immediately when you first posted it. i've really been missing out, this is so stunning!! if this medly is anything to go on, i know i'm going to adore the music in this film. i loooove that you dedicated a movie to each song and stuck with it. i have no context for the songs in the actual movie but the lyrics fit so well with the movies you did choose and wahhhh. i didn't think never enough (aka the only one i've listened to religiously) would fit with beauty and the beast but you so proved me wrong and THAT EMPHASIS WITH MRS.POTTS SAYING "BUT IT'S NOT ENOUGH" slayed me dead seriously. that whooaaa part with pocahontas in the wind was actual chill inducing, i don't know why, i can't explain it. a million dreams for aladdin... and rewrite the stars for hercules... i just... i can't even articulate how much i love this video thank you so much for it

I've been on youtube for about 10 years and i used to do videos like these all the time. but after losing several accounts to copyright i dont do them as much. I miss seeing videos like this without 100s of effects all over them. I almost reached 500 subs on my first account but once you lose your account you never feel like you can start again. This videos inspired me to try and learn vegas (even though i struggle with it so much) i loved this

Looking at your username, I feel like I remember seeing your vids! I feel that; I'm fortunate to have not lost an account yet. YT seems to just want to block the vids that get too copyrighted, and I don't fight it. *shrugs* But I'm glad you liked this! Even though I use Vegas now, which granted makes videos look smoother and more HD, I still edit really similarly to how I did with WMM. :P

@@DannyPhantomSG1 Yeh my video style was exactly like this one. I was one of the only people to keep using wmm as i loved the simplicity of it. For some reason i really struggle learning vegas. Im not great with technology which doesnt help lol. I used to take part in quite a lot of meps so that might be where you saw me ^^ I still have some old videos on this account that i managed to save from my old accounts

@@CircleofLifeStudios I edit in the style I most enjoy watching, which is unfortunately not the style that most people use anymore. We too fancy now. :P Vegas was a struggle for me, as well, but over the years I've gotten more comfortable with it. I still generally keep my edits to one layer and remember watching a lot of basic tutorials just for formatting and presets and stuff cuz it's not as fast or intuitive as WMM. But if you have specific questions in your Vegas adventures, I'm always here to help!

I really, really like this. You made awesome choices for the songs and put it well together. Two little things are still bothering me: a) there are too many... how do you say it in English? Flashes? I must admit I couldn't watch the end, because it hurts my eyes :( and b) the voiceovers were too much in my opinion, because the songs already say enough.
