For expansion drafts with multiple expansion teams, you can protect the proper players without having to draft for the other expansion team (Las Vegas in this video) Pre-draft do your protections. Then, before the draft, go to team settings and you can stop controlling all other teams than the Sonics in this case. Specifically in this draft, you could go to Las Vegas and turn the draft automation to auto. Hope this helps!

As a Washington state native who grew up a SuperSonics fanatic and whose heart was ripped out when my team got stolen and moved to tumbleweedville, I will be thrilled when we get a team back but it will always deep down bother me that we have to be considered the “expansion” team. 40+ years of sonic history but we’re the expansion team. It won’t even really be getting the team back. It’ll just be getting a new team and calling it what our old team was called. Stealing the team that’s rightfully ours back from Oklahoma sh*tty and letting them see what it feels like would be the ultimate satisfaction and the only way we would TRULY be getting our team back.

I'd love it to be a feature in future 2k games that when you add an expansion team to a city that has basketball history (Seattle, Kansas City, Providence, etc etc), that you have the option to give them back their history. Like if Seattle is added then the Sonics historical records from 2008 and back until their first year in the NBA is attached to the new expansion Seattle team. It's annoying when you add Seattle in 2k24 and you look at their team history and don't see that they won a chip in 1979, or how deep they've been in the playoffs, or what jersey numbers are retired. Definitely shouldn't stay with OKC in that circumstance.
