Rafi sahab voice can brings dead hearts back to life. song "Mera Man Tera Pyasa" (Gambler, 1970) has been used as one of the soundtracks in the Jim Carrey-Kate Winslet starrer Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004). When young men, and even women, were heartbroken or felt a bit down, Rafi sahab came to their rescue with his dard bhare nagme. His songs always manage to evoke various kinds of emotions. He used to rightly said, there's nothing in my voice that i can call mine, it is all blessing bestowed upon me by god! Mohammad Rafi Sahab should get award which nobody has got till date. Not any existing award can justice with his capability. Bharat Ratna is just trivial decoration which does not enhance greatness in anyway. Rafi sahab never needed these political motivated awards(bharat ratna) they were Bharat ratna himself. Music got sweetness when Rafi sahab was born, and it got lost when Rafi sahab died. Aawaz ki duniya mai rafi sahab ke mukaable ka aajtak toh koi paida nahi hua. Aur baat rahi lataji ki toh woh bhi chaahe poori zindagi yaa saato janam ka dum laga le Mohammed Rafi ko woh toh kya duniya ka koi bhi gayak Overshadowed nahi kar sakta.

Naseem sahab, you have said that you narrated "chhotisi kahani". In reality, you have disclosed an excellent and important information. It's a big point that ,prior to Rafisaab's stepping in, music directors used to prepare tunes keeping in mind the suitability and capability of the singer. But after arrival of Rafisaab, they became free to compose as per their desire , because they believed that Rafisaab was there to give their tune the right, proper and desired shape. In reality people and listeners also discovered this.
