Have been eyeing on the XC90 since 2017 and my dream came true when I collected my new XC90 on Nov 2022. I am happy with the car since then with all the features etc. The ride is very comfortable and able to go up to 60km for every charge. That makes me go to petrol station seldomly coz my daily travelling is between 50km-60km only. However I still use petrol from time to time to make sure the engine is doing its job before end of warranty.

I agree the service centre is lousy because they are not ready for a huge sales. I got to go backdoor pull some string to get my car service. Anyway i have no regret owning the car. Im waiting for EX90.

Bobby, do u have an opinion about servicing the haldex module that some of the Volvo AWD use? Volvo says its good for lifetime but VW and Audi models that use Haldex have an interval. Any thoughts?

You should also talk about all the problems and quality issues faced by the owners.. especially the service quality at the service centre. It is undoubtedly an excellent car but after taking into consideration of all the quality issues, substandard warranty coverage and excessive maintenance cost. I personally don’t think it’s a good buy.

C300 bushing replacement can buy a good turbo turbine for civic. C300 also excessive maintenance cost? Absorber oil leaking? Infotainment screen blacked out? Ahhh we all should go for old proton/Mitsubishi or Toyota then

If you watch the American/Canadian car reviews, you’ll see that the Volvo twin-charged (T8, supercharged and turbocharged) variants are the most prone to failure because they overengineered it to hell, so I wouldn’t touch the T8s with a foot long pole… maybe the mild hybrid B5s are okay.

Correct me if I'm wrong. There is an "expiry date" for fuel, so it may be better to empty the tank once every few months depending on the grade/type of the fuel.

in the market for a luxury SUV, can't decide between an XC90 Recharge vs B5 or BMW X5 45e(old model) vs 50e..we already have an EV and apartment does not allow charging...perhaps you can organise a comparison test drive Bobby? Kind of tired of charging in public places so the obvious choice is the B5...what do you recommend?

I owned a Volvo xc40. Mileage less than 10k.. the brakes are vibrating hard (braking during driving above 100kmph). Sent to service centre and they said nth wrong with the brakes. Lol...

Once you buy Mercedes, you will face more issues than buying Volvo. Mercedes come with cheap materials and spare parts also don’t have and need to wait even longer and longer and not waiting 1-2 months to get spare parts. Worse than Volvo

@@MonsieurGuy I do notice X5 from 2022 model onwards the wood trim has slight deviation compared to 2020 model X5 45e. 2020 model had a wood trim that look really brown and uncle. The 2022 model comes with lighter slightly greenish color tone. As for the leather seat, i cant tell the diff for now. But i think mine is still vernasca. Because 2023 model onwards their seat stitching is diff.

@@MonsieurGuy as for the driving, so far so good altho could be more planted. I think partly due to it comes with air suspension instead of Adaptive M suspension. Based in my driving experience coming from driving Macan and 911. Otherwise X5 is comfortable and yet powerful.

@@vitalyromas6752 ya i dunt like tha table type in Merc... They should built ergonomic type of screen according to car the contour. But in essence u need to have large enough fonts that's why our phones are larger than last time. Moreover this is car with a distance between the lcd.

@@realmlee8803 I understand you. Your note is reasonable, but the issue is rather the UI than the screen size. I still prefer the car without screens (except the analogue dash). I do not use my phone while driving, so 4 inches screen is great )
