This was such a beautiful conversation. I’m not even Caribbean. Just a brown American in California that has always gravitated towards learning about other cultures and how they connect with god/the higher power. And i learned so much from this conversation or was put on to so much that i can go research on my own. But I completely agree that it would be sooo amazing to create a “rights of passage” type of structure for the young so the culture and practices in the Rasta community don’t get lost. 🙏🏾🫶🏾 And I like how one man expressed that part of the reason so many are attracted to the Rastafarian community is partly because of the colors. I’ve studied and like to read about color psychology. I feel like that’s part of why I myself am attracted to it, But more than anything I love it because it’s for melanated people created by melanated people & most importantly energetically the vibes of different rastas I’ve been blessed to meet or just find here in KZbin…I love it that the Rasta community gives the vibes that are peaceful yet authoritative, confident but not humble or arrogant, it comes with an air of reality that’s regal all while still being accepting of oneself + your feelings in a powerful way and that it’s so grounding for me in the inside. Can we please get the feminine version of a conversation like this for balance? This was amazing. Thank you for all you do.🙏🏾👑💚

What I take into serious consideration about Haile Selassie I and one of the Speeches to the World at the League of Nations are His words....."Until" even other world situations wich he addressed it is really talking about our humanity and human condition if we choose not be impartial with the different injustices that arise wether it be because of race, religion, color even creeds we will be at the brink of war. That is my understanding from reading certain speeches of Haile Selassie I we are being put on guard as to what are the world conditions before us and what we can do to change them.
