What a terrific role model you have for your kids. 1) Being different is ok. 2) Love in a marriage means your want your partner to be healthy and happy! Amanda made a choice that she wanted her partner to be happy and healthy within their marriage. i also believe that Shaye does the same for her.

Very Mormon!! My hubby & I met when I was 8 & he was 10. His older brother was doing splits with the missionaries and helped teach my parents the discussions. We never dated growing up. He went on a mission to CA & I went to BYU (far from home, we are from Maryland). He came out to BYU to visit his brother (there are 7 of them) & that’s when the sparks started. He went home to MD & started calling me. By the time I came home for summer we had planned our first date. 3 weeks later we were engaged. 🤣 Been married 33 years! Stopped going to church in 2020. Thank you internet & Gospel Topic Essays…..

Sharing your love story is so sweet and such an honor. My heart goes out to Shaye having to go away for two long years on a mission, and all the structure that went along with it. My heart also goes out to Amanda, waiting for so long, and when the letters stopped coming, she felt abandoned and hurt. Amanda put up a wall so that wouldn't happen again, (but luckily the parents knew better, lol), and in time you both found a way back into each other's life. Amanda didn't mention if the voice she heard was hers, but with a thought that didn't feel she said, or a different voice altogether, either way it was spiritual that's for sure. Can't wait for Part 3, Thank you Amanda and Shaye.💕👍🐶

I wish I had a story like that. I got schizophrenia when I was 33, and my husband took off. I am honestly happy that there are people in the world who are truly in love. I pray for you often and I hope you kept your faith in god. I pray that you kept your faith in god without the mormon church, because like you two, god is way more interesting than being some extraterrestrial cop that refuses you coffee and makes sure you cover your shoulders, and oh, are you wearing your appropriate underwear? God is just way more loving and interesting than that.

I’m ex Mormon and hearing you two speak just touches me in such a wonderful familiar way. It’s really hard for me to find a partner and now I think I can see why… I’ve always been an artistic weirdo free spirit so that’s who I hung out with… but when it comes to love I’m kinda a goody two shoes, for lack of a better description. The sweetness I see between you two… it’s really what I’m looking for. And oddly I see some of the good things that Mormonism can create, which feels very strange leaving my mouth now than I’ve said it… because I’m the first to complain about the obstacles it’s created in my personal life. But watching you two together stirs something foundational in me and helps me put a finger on it, in a good way. Thank you for that 🫶🏻 I feel less alone when I hear other ex Mormons share and I’m also just happy for you two 🙏

While running a Wendys in Idaho, I considered myself lucky to hire return missionaries. So helpful. So polite. Great work ethic. But boy....were they ever immature. When having nice conversations about their church and what is involved, all they could do is quote the standard line supplied from their indoctrination from the church. Opinions on women's role? No opinion. Opinion on all most everything about the Mormon religion was beyond their ability to discuss.

❤❤💥💥❤❤ I am rather new to your channel, and Sorry Shay you two could never be long-winded. I love listening to the two of you. I love how the depths of your lives are being shared with us. I think people that are really informed about the Mormon religion, well let me speak for myself because of the Chad daybell Case that just ended up with him getting the death penalty and Lori Vallow having three life sentences and they're very serious involvement with Mormonism to the point where they get whacked out and Chad believes he was the Holy Spirit in another probation, just knowing you guys came from Mormonism which to me is such a big cult and how you deconstructed and where you are now I mean again, sorry Shay You said, well we've been in a little long-winded, I'll say it again for me you could never be long winded enough. I love listening to the two of your stories and I can't wait to hear more. It's really hard to believe that Shay has only been presenting fully as a woman for a year. That is crazy. I mean wow you both are so beautiful inside and out. I just would love to know what it's like being a mom to your children for each of you. And I wish you guys made more videos because I love that I found your channel so-called by mistake.
