MA PEOPLE! Guys, have you notice wherever we are, we Greeks, be it Australia, US or Germany, everyone accept us doing things like we're in Greece. No other nationality that went to another country does such things without backlash, malevolence or simple, quiet distust by the host country. Besides, I'm truly happy wherever we went, we didn't tarnish our reputation, we didn't become thieves, drug smugglers/dealers, made our women "hookers" and whatnot. We simply worked hard and honestly. I'm very proud of you, guys! And while it's true no Greek forgets his roots, he always learns to love the host country as his/her second home and be respectful of said nation.

Hopefully this will provide a "basic" explanation, historical background and insight on the matter of Evzones. Please note: "MANY" of the 1821 Greek Revolutionaries (including Kolokotronis) were dressed in a fustanella. The Evzones uniform is based on the clothes worn by the revolutionaries of the 1800's.
