Looks lovely! I’ve only been to Athens on a rushed millennium bug patching trip but did not have time to see any of the sights. Need to take the Mrs on a trip like this! Cheers Ola

I'm happy to travel anywhere in Europe, but this trip was really my wife's top choice. It has the perfect combination of historical sites and museums for me and beautiful beaches and ocean views for her. Athens isn't as beautiful as some other top European cities, but it has so much history. A few minutes from Athens, the population drops and the amazing beauty of Greece seems to be everywhere! We stayed away from the top tourist islands and never found ourselves in a crowded place.

Superb video, dear sir ! It made me appreciate again the beauties of my country ... Unfortunately the average Greek (musicians too, unless on tour) don t take touring vacations . Most people just want to go away from the big city , and work , to go to ONE place , and rest there. Cost of travel is as well a big deal. Nice music too ! It's hard to imagine a more beautiful country than Greece! We plan to return. Our wonderful tour guide explained how traditionally many Greeks would go to the beach for vacation with family in August, but how many are now struggling to continue to do so as prices climb for these areas. If one is fortunate enough to vacation, there is the choice of having a relaxing vacation (e.g., the beach) vs. seeing more sites on a more stressful tour. Our tour was ideal for my wife and I: lots of beautiful locations by the water for her, combined with lot of historical sites for me.

No. Had I know the shop was so close, I probably would have stopped in. We saw the Parthenon for the first time on my birthday. That evening we were eating in a charming outdoor square when I noticed a guy walking by with a Moog shirt! It turned out he sells synthesizers in a music store in Germany, and we had a pleasant chat.

@@TaurusTarkus Glad it was a good visit. I have friends and family there, though I'm American and living in Germany. I've never had a trip to Greece that I didn't enjoy.

@@ProckGnosis We definitely plan to return to Greece at some point. I had planned to go to Germany for the first time this summer, but now we are going to Asia, in part to visit my daughter.
