The coffee would only have grinds floating in it if you stirred it, if you stir it you have to let it settle so the grinds fall back down and settle on the bottom, the. You just drink the coffee liquid that is above the grinds at the top! Must be careful not to drink down to the grinds though! LOL 🎉
