Hey, Tina! What exactly were you so afraid of? Being challenged to a Terminator match? I'm pretty sure the answer to this next question is gonna be no in case of future contestants sharing the same first name as you but as a souvenir, did they let you keep your name badge? Out of curiosity, since this episode aired originally on March 31, 2000 on Fox, do you remember exactly when this episode was taped? As for the Qualifying Round, did they let you guys just stand wherever you wanted or were there assigned positions? Sorry for bombarding you with millions of questions. Greed is my all-time favorite game show and i would've loved to have been a contestant except i was only like 9 when this was on Fox and was way too young anyway. BTW i'm sorry your skirt fell down in the middle of the job interview; that had to take a lot of ovaries to tell Chuck about that experience on national television, i couldn't do it but that's just me, haha. Still, congratulations on the $40k win! PS - last question, promise! Did you enjoy watching your episode on Fox and seeing it again on Game Show Network?

AnnaLoveberryBabycakes: Thanks for reaching out and I certainly don't mind the questions. My adrenaline was thru the roof to meet the challenge ahead and I didn't want the world to see how smart I was not (just another dumb blonde syndrome). For strategy purposes, I didn't want to be the Terminator or the Captain. However, I wanted to appear confident enough to ensure my longevity. No, we didn't get to keep our name badges. But I did make a copy of the Check! The producers determined where we stood for the qualifying round... probably based on what would look good on camera. From that point, your ranking was based on your answer to the question. I was absolutely thrilled to see our episode on this KZbin channel. It was filmed on 03/03/2000...the very day my soon-to-be adopted daughter was being born. God had put on my heart to adopt two children. And that whole process costs a lot more money than I ever made. But He found a way to make it happen....and our two awesome kids came home, and are now in college. Thank God! Oh, your other comment about my skirt...yeah, that was a little crazy. Thanks again for your interest and the chance to relive one of my most memorable events. God bless you!

@@Ace.of.Rage. Very astute, Troy! In my younger years, I always watched the pageants on TV. In the late 70s, I needed scholarship money and an opportunity to work in front of the camera. So, I entered Miss Maine USA (semifinalist), which goes on to Miss USA & Miss Universe; Miss Maine World ( 3rd place, which goes to Miss America World, then Miss World); and finally, Miss Florida (semifinalist). At only 5'3", never formally trained, and a tight budget, the competition overwhelmed my chances. I won Miss Personality twice and had a fun time with all the gals. Fortunately, I met Miss Universe, Margaret Gardner from South Africa. She stood 6'2", was the epitome of grace, charm and intelligence. At our meet & greet, she memorized each one of our first names..there must have been at least 30 ladies. She seemed like a true Princess. Thanks for bringing me down memory lane. The only reason that _Greed_ was dropped after a season was because the head of FOX Broadcasting *loathed* game shows. There's a reason why FOX's game shows don't/ didn't last long. Hell, _Big Deal,_ a 1996 recreation of _Let's Make a Deal,_ only lasted six episodes due to it being the lead-out after _The NFL on FOX_ on Sunday evenings.

@@vikingsallday005 I'm not entirely certain I agree with all that. I'm a HUGE fan of Greed and it's my all-time favorite of all game shows. Believe me. But I'm not all that crazy about the Qualifying Question for two reasons 1.) The people closest to the correct answer may or may not be all that knowledgeable about the subject matter of the QQ but that doesn't mean they know the answers to the Tower of Greed questions and 2.) I don't like the fact that out of six people, there's the one who doesn't get to play. Sure, there were past QQ losers who got a second shot and wound up getting on a team the second time around but a good few of them aren't so lucky to get a second chance. But then again the episodes without the Qualifying Question and how the teams were assembled without kind of makes me imagine if those teams were made up with it, but nonetheless, I'm personally glad the Losers' night episode, the 5 Super Greed episodes, as well as the last 5 episodes of the show got rid of the Qualifying Question. Imagine if the July 14 episode (the last ep.) was still using the QQ, with the last team the person who didn't make the team would probably be thinking, "Last team ever of the show and i didn't get to play..." Besides, some of the Qualifying-Question-less episodes saw some big-time wins whereas some episodes that otherwise did had some big-time losses. The episode that ended with the $50k miss on the Radio Flyer question as well as the one that had Dennis and Darrell missing the $25,000 question about which show Chuck did NOT host both had the Qualifying Question... and the latter was show's only ever $25k miss no less.

I think you might've just answered your own question. Amazingly, Google was no help in my journey to find the answer to this question. I went to the "Soundtracks" section on his IMDB.com page looking for any pre-2000 shows he may've sang for. Now here's where things get interesting, I then went to Baywatch's IMDB page, and according to that, he did sing "Current of Love" which DID serve as the ending theme for Season 3 as did "I Believe" and he DID have a starring role on Baywatch and Knight Rider (which he also did sing on but only 4 songs over 2 episodes). After all the question didn't ask for actors/actresses who sang the OPENING theme to a show they starred in, just as long as they sang an opening or closing theme song i guess is what the producers or whoever wrote the question was going for.

Did a team ever take the money when offered after they got 3 out of 4 correct?
@hiltonlive32grnrngr Жыл бұрын
Yes. There have been numerous teams throughout the shows run that've taken a $20,000 bailout on the $200,000 question. However, there was only one team that bailed out on the $500,000 question with $50,000 and at the end of the Super Greed premiere, John Epperson's team (where it was just him and Lisa Stigers) each bailed out on the $2 million question with a 2000 Jaguar XK8 convertible with I think $75,000 in each trunk.

@@hiltonlive32grnrngr I remember that one and it was the right call as the last answer was wrong.

I wished they would give out a freebie on every question have a total of 4 freebies from 200k to 2million

That would make it too easy. Remember this is 2M back in 1999-2000. That's was a ton a money back. Still is a lot now.

the $100,000 question was extremly difficult to answer. They are technically correct. But even when this was filmed who realized that dancing with the wolves who won best picture and also starred cosner didnt win for best actor (I looked it up he was nominated but lost to reversal of fortune Played by Jeremy Irons. Extremly clever question and I to was trying to rember what duvall had won in.

luckily they asked for 2 answers, but am i the only one who has watched baseball and had no idea there was a triple crown in baseball? I literally had to google the term, and I watch baseball.

Hey…it’s Tina from the show. I just happened to play softball for 25 years and rode horses, too. I swear God lined up all my questions. I was so scared I almost didn’t go on stage. Happy I did because the money was used to adopt my two children. True story 😇 Thanks for your comment. Hope you enjoyed the show.

@@TinaStMarie neat. glad it worked out for you. Glad you found the videos of yourself on youtube. I was a fan of this show so i tried to find as many of the episodes as possible out there. the 200k question was kinda hard honestly. i knew the last 2 (including your answer) but had no idea about the other two

I really like the host Chuck, but he was constantly mispronouncing words, flubbing his lines, and getting rules confused lol

Well as a viewer you can prefer it for TV (I wouldn't, but I get why you could) but as a participant I can only see this as the show you go for if you fail to get on Millionaire and Jeopardy. Nothing about this is fair to you as a contestant compared to those shows. I'm not sure the most interesting people would end up here. Same with Weakest Link.
