What is the closest encounter you've had with a wild creature ?

I once took part in a deer relocation effort. We were supposed to form a wide semi circle in the forest and herd the deer far away from the highway. We thought they would be scared of us and run the opposite way. Unfortunately wild animals dlcan be unpredictable so the herd instead decided to run through us. Several deer shot past me in a blur. They were incredibly fast. The guy next to me got struck square in the chest and knocked back several feet. No one got hurt, bit it was a tense moment.

I had such an adventure with a wild boar, I was on a walk in the forest with my dog and we met a wild boar about 25 meters from me, fortunately the boar went on its way.

On a camp out in the Smokey mountains the skunk were not afraid and came in the evening to forage for food scraps. They came within an arms length. We stayed as still as possible we didn’t want to be sprayed or skunked is was so intense.

Να 'σαι καλά κοπέλα μου για την γαλήνη που αισθάνομαι στην ψυχή μου, όταν παρακολουθώ τα εκπληκτικά σου βίντεο. Εύχομαι η ομορφιά της καθημερινής επαφής με την φύση - όσο είναι αυτό δυνατό - να σε πληροί πάντα και να γεμίζει ευτυχία τη ζωή σου. Και για την ερώτηση που έθεσες, βρέθηκα ξαφνικά μπροστά σε ένα θηλυκό αγριογούρουνο με δύο μικρά, που έπιναν νερό μέσα στο φαράγγι των Κενταύρων στην Πελοπόννησο. Περιττό να πω, πόσο γρήγορα λάκισα..!

@@AriadnesVillageLife πολλά από αυτά που μας δείχνεις και φτιάχνεις, δεν τα κάνει σχεδόν κανένας πλέον στο χωριό. Δεν ανάβουν φούρνο, δεν φτιάχνουν πετιμέζι, δεν ασπρίζουν και πολλά άλλα. Σου αξίζουν συγχαρητήρια πολλά. Η μόνη παράκληση, αν καταφέρεις και βάλεις Ελληνικούς υπότιτλους και στα προηγούμενα βιντεάκια θα είναι τέλειο, ώστε να μπορέσουμε και μεις που δεν γνωρίζουμε αγγλικά να παρακολουθήσουμε τα λεγόμενά σου. I’ve been waiting for your new video! I’ve encountered wild animals only through a window, from trains or cars: deers, foxes, jackals, different big birds, rabbits and hares … except for wild turtles which I usually carry out of the road

Yeah I can imagine. Poor Susie was a stray cat, like so many here in the village. I am not quite sure what happened to her and I hope that someone that can take good care of her adopted her and she is now alive and happy 😌
