If u go to tourist hotspots its nothing special, if u find your self a nice traditional village yes it is incredible. And if u go to central Athens dont leave the historical centre its surrounded by semi ghettos, and dont get and drugs ull probs die

Dude, one of Greece's strongest points, is its variety.You want to come in the summer? Hundreds of beautiful islands with gorgeous beaches.You want a mountainous village to barbeque at the fireplace and have strolls in tha nature? TOO many of that as well. Or if you want you can visit Athens and see tons of archeological sites, and learn some great things of Greek history. I assure you, if you come in Greece 5 times for example, you will experience 5 different vacations.

As a Greek in my opinion greece is a very good destination for holidays as we have great beaches , good food and many museums although living in greece is different .

I am greek and i have to say that Greece is a very unique country with a great history and a great civilization. I am proud to be Greek .Although nowadays is completely different . It's one of the most beautiful countries and really worths to visit it but not to live . For example in other countries many people have the chances to get a job . In Greece if you want to get a job like a teacher for example you have to wait many years to work . However holidays in Greece totally worth especially our islands like Mykonos , Santorini , Crete ( especially chania and rethymno in Crete ) . Lot's of love from Greece and happy summer holidays !!!🇬🇷🏄♥️♥️♥️

There's a Russian myth about the distribution of the world by God to the people . It goes like this. When God was making the world , after he finished making the people, he invited them to come to him after he was done creating the land , so he can equally divide it . The Russians went first , and to them he gave the Northern Steppes, the land close to Siberia, as he saw in them the hardyness and willingness to survive. The Asians arrived afew hours later , and God , upon seeing their Numerous cultures and languages and numbers , decided it would be best for them to reside in the Eastern Part of earth, where space was abundant , containing rocky mountain as well as beautiful fields and meadows. The Europeans arrived third , eager to build machines and explore more land. To them he bestowed the lands around the Mediterranean up to the beautiful Highlands of Scotland and enabled them to travel to the Unknown New world. The Africans arrived fourth , and God seeing their beautiful coloured skin and their harmony with wild life and respect for nature , he gifted them with the Land of Africa . With its lush forests and brimming deserts . After the distribution God was tired , and he made preparations to settle in a quiet place , as he saw he earned some rest after the miracles he performed . As he was getting ready , he heard someone knocking on Heavens Door, while he wondered who it could have been . When he opened the door, he was greeted by the Greeks . Ever late they were and full of spirit . ' you're late ' god said , I already divided the world . 'Please , said the Greeks , we were taken aback by constant delays while on our way here . At first our children cried as they were getting bored , so we had to find a way to keep them entertained , so we created music and theater and logic, to give them reasons to smile and act and think for themselves . Then as we drew closer , our elderly became ill, so we had to create the first Medicines and study the human body to be able to help them . As we made our way to your door , our lord , certain individuals grew restless , so we had to pioneer a way for everyone to contribute to decision making , thus we created Democracy. On the way , we got lost , so we had to study the Sky and the Stars , and the world around us , to find our way . So we created Astronomy , Mathematics and the Sciences . If we didn't face these problems, we would have lost many along the way. We are so sorry we are late. Any place on earth will do . Even the tiniest , smallest creek . Just so we can rest . We are tired . We've already done so much on our way here . Please ' God taken aback by the selflessness of the Greeks, smiled and said ' To you , noble Greeks , I give my resting place, a small place on Earth , connecting everything else , the sea that washes its shores , divine , with many islands stretched in it. Right now , all it has is a small boat as I intended to Fish later and relax . And an Olive branch ,as I interned to cultivate the blessed soil. Should you ever come in need , the Boat and the olive branch will help you rebuilt . Long may you prosper in it ' And so He gifted the Greeks His intended resting place . Hellas , which is derived by two ancients words , and means ' The stone of light . '

My husbands’s niece went to work in Amsterdam for a year, then she has been to Greece, and she,has traveled all over the place. Several times she has traveled to several other Islands, and has met many people. . My ex-husband has been to Greece last Summer and he took my Son and Daughter, they had a Great Time. Because we were separated at the time, I didn’t go. I went to to Paris instead, I had a Great a time. I wish I could have gone to Greece...

We've really become such a pathetic nation... We've become so desperate for reassurance and pride, that we go and ask these celebrities questions about Greece specifically, so that we can be proud when they show a minimum of interest. You could ask these people a question about any country and of course they would have something nice to say about it. We need to make our country worth being proud of for the right reasons, and not because some Hollywood celebrity had a great time there during his summer holidays.
