Greek Island Hopping from Santorini - Naxos, Paros, Ios on a Budget 2023

Paros is the furthest away but definitely worth visiting. Naxos was our favourite though out of the 3. Blue star ferries are a winner but certainly don't mess about!

Me and my other half have been visiting Greece since 2016...we just fell in love with the place and although It's a big wide world out there to explore Greece just won our hearts on our first ever visit back in 2016. Something very special about the country...great vid and It's given us some new ideas for other Islands to visit 😁👍

Hey Kev! We had island hopping planned for a while but it always took a back step for other plans. Greece is very special but is getting increasingly expensive from what it once was. Hi guys, loved this so much. As I have commented before, we go to Greece more than anywhere else if we can. Great fresh food, good beer and fantastic hospitality ❤ I agree though, not the cheapest. Naxos looked stunning 🤩 I really recommend Parga (on the West coast of the mainland) and Lefkada island…both flying into Preveza on the mainland. 🎉

Ey up Kezza! Funny you should mention that as a late deal came up for Parga. It would have been much more enjoyable if we had a better budget, although as this was the last couple of weeks before we came home we were broke beyond belief trying to survive on €20 or less a day for both of us. Naxos was definitely our favourite though. Hope you're keeping well x

@@yazminelane8471 Thanks very much. Some were booked 3 weeks in advance and some a little bit closer. Our final hotel in Santorini was booked only a few days before as we were undecided if we wanted to stay in the town or in Kamari. We opted for Fira town as we needed to film it. Yeah you're easily looking at €3-3.50 minimum on many islands. We were living off the local 1.5L bottles of wine from the supermarket for a few euros 😆. Thanks for watching!

Hey! Naxos for sure. It just had a bit more charm for us. Paros was a very close 2nd. We didn't rate Ios and wouldn't go back as there was very little to do.

Greece is very difficult to do on a tight budget unless you do like we did and live on gyros. There are lots of different islands however our favourites are Crete, Rhodes and Kalymnos. This is the first time we've done local islands but found 3 nights was enough.

Thank you for this vid! My fiancé and I are planning to travel in Greece in mid september but it's hard to choose from all theses wonderful islands ! We were told that Naxos is really "family friendly" and we want to avoid it as much as possible. Did you notice that there are more children in Naxos that Paros ou Ios ? Thank you 😁

Hey Lou! We didn't really notice many children on any of the islands in fairness, or really anything for them to do that would attract families. The Greeks love kids though. We stayed by the port though so we can't say for any other resorts in Naxos. It's a bit of a faff getting to them by ferry and something that a lot of families would avoid. Naxos was our favourite though. Thanks very much for watching and hopefully you'll enjoy our Santorini vlog when that's released (hopefully Sunday) which was our final stop on our 6 month journey.

In all fairness you're right, especially compared to prices in the UK. The wine from Santorini is amazing. Definitely some benefits to those living on a volcanic island!

You wouldn't be able to do all of them in a day as there wouldn't be enough time to fully explore. Check the Ferry hopper website though and you may squeeze Naxos and Ios in as they are closer than Paros.
