During war in Bosnia, Greek people send packages of food, clothes, and even money to Serbian people. After war a lot of Serbian children goes to greek families to have vacation. Few years ago i was at Greece with my friends. We felt like we are at our home.

When they were seeing the Greek flag some of them even hugged us...Many Serbians spoke Greek...The Serbs love the Greeks very much! Greece was the only NATO member which refused NATO warplanes to use the Greek air-space and bomb Serbia from the South. Athens was the only capital where thousands of citizens demonstrated against the bombing in a daily base. And as the NATO General of that period said ''We were forced to change our bombing plans many times because Greek vehicles with humanitarian staff refused to follow our military orders and moved deep inside Serbia giving to the Serbs a shield, especially in their capital. I was 9 years old. I did forgive, but I learned that we should never trust them (NATO leading countries) and that we should NEVER FORGET SUPPORT we got from very few countries, including Greece. It was so brave of Greek people to say out loud what nobody wants to hear. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I wish my people had same support protests when NATO started messing in Syria and Libya, I felt in my heart that we should do it, even if nobody is listening. THANK YOU GREECE! This made me cry. Humanity over profit (financial, diplomatic, politic...) , humanity stronger than fear of being judged by majority, it should be major value of this world and we would have no wars. I am not seeing ourselves as victims or crying here like a baby over my country, I'm crying over this world because same things are still going on and we are all just observing. This speech made me cry from joy for having friends like Greek people. THANK YOU!

Unfortunately, you are right. There is a time when we have to pick sides. Somehow I feel that most of the wars on Balkan happened not for us, but for that moment of choosing sides. If that moment comes while the global forces are configured this same way, we all know who will choose what side. Balkan union would not last long, even if we make it, simply because it would be too powerful and no big force on this world would like that. About quotes around the word SAVIOR in Russia sentence.... Russia was at it's very low point, and leaders did not do much. But ordinary people dis, as there was many volunteers fighting with us. Sure, not only from Russia. It surprised me to see information about even some volunteers from west, not because they were pro Yugoslavian, but simply because they were anti NATO. So, leaders are not always reflection of the people. For example, we have (Serbia) good relations with Germany right now (as good as possible), but we know very well that there is no that "connection sparkle" between people, simple citizens of both countries. So even if Greece or Russia were not powerful enough at the time to protect us, we gave our best ourselves, but it is so wonderful to know that in their hearts, few nations did feel support for us, and things like that are always both sided, there is no one sided love between nations. Politic is tricky and manipulative, but we all know what nations (I'll generalize a little bit here) loves some nation, what nation dislikes them etc... And official diplomacy and politic is not always perfect reflection of that truth. EDIT: Thank you so much for sharing this video! It means a lot to see this!
