Not the extra blocker as much as getting the box in his favor. With him lined up on that side the weak side of the box was mismatched in the offenses favor. Zone running teams can be a nightmare to line up against because of this. Constant motions and heavy alignments can break a big one off of any gap errors by the defense.

I haven't been into football for years, it's hard to watch someone like rodgers with so much skill and talent with little motivation or emotion or team support, just felt dysfunctional and he took very little risk in his later years, seemed more concerned with personal stats than trying to win games. And rodgers always wanted to be a 49er and always lost to them, wonder why. But again we end up with a Californian qb in green bay, I imwgin3 love will be back with a vengeance if the niners even end up being in our path on the way to the super bowl next year.
