Green card has a quota for each country, they can’t be distributed like pamphlets. Trump unofficial went back on his stand of allocating green cards for foreign students with us degree

Although he can’t staple GC to US degree he can certainly staple an EAD to someone getting Degree from US university. This is definitely in presidential rule making process which does not need to go to Congress. This way he can retain talent in the country

Trump will change everything for desi students and high skilled H1Bs. USCIS will need lot more staplers and their hands are going to hurt stapling the greencards to the degrees. Many desis will prosper like they did during his presidency. Jai Trump!

Nothing will happen. The first priority should be to clear the backlog. As long as total GC remains fixed, adding new eligibility criteria for GC will only further increase the backlog. Moreover, it can be argued that some colleges can possibly misuse this provision.

Yes such program will be highly abused.

Hi Mandar, I'm looking for your video on whether to become a US citizen or not as mentioned by you in this episode. Can you please post the link to that video? Thanks!

If you have observed Trump and know him by now you would know he says whatever crosses his mind without putting much thought or logic behind it. Just take it with a grain of salt and pass along. As for your statement about the consulates, that restriction was only placed during the unprecedented circumstances during the pandemic. The criteria for approvals was indeed very tough regardless of being inside vs outside of the US
@MandarKasture4 ай бұрын
The restrictions were put well before the pandemic but for certain countries

Trump will show the door to immigrants -all types with tougher rules for H1b - new or extensions, F1 impacting a huge number of desis. H1Bs will need to keep bags packed and ready to settle down - in India

Mandar, can you please make a separate video, especially on the asylum seekers and its impact on the green card being provided to Indians. I had lots of discussions with my friends on this subject. this subject is typically an underdog. Most Indians do not include asylum numbers when counting towards the green card quota. I keep telling my friends that your H1B numbers are being eaten by asylum seekers who get the GC via marriages, police or drug reports, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. Numerous examples exist such as Nepalis, Afghans, Haiti, Dominic etc.
@MandarKasture4 ай бұрын
Asylum seekers do not use green card visa number or H1b count. The asylum number is set each year by the executive branch, eg. for 2024 the number is 125k if I am not mistaken. Thanks for the topic suggestion. I will cover it in my next video.

Mandar, great video. It would be helpful if you give your opinion along with your percentage passing of the Trump GC statement to US degree holders.
