@@dusdincorleone I won't say 50x better but definitely underrated. I regularly listen to about every album (didn't like the trilogy, so other than those) Insomniac and Nimrod are my contenders for favorite but Warning is definitely one of the more frequent in rotation. It's not afraid to be weird and I love it for that.

I wouldn't say that 'Warning' is "better" than 'Dookie', but I definitely prefer 'Warning' to 'Dookie.' Also in terms of the "millennial" comment - Millennials are anyone who was born between 1981 and 1996 so if you were a kid/in your early teens when Dookie was released then you're a millenial too.

Warning will always be the overlooked album which is such a shame because it's got some great songs. First time I went to see them was Warning tour and Castaway was insane live.
@ForeverYoung0074 жыл бұрын
I think it lacked something. It just seemed like a demo tape. Besides warning many songs sound like b side tracks. I heard they broke up with their producer half way or they had fired him during the recording and that could explain if they attempted to produce it by themselves.
@rear51184 жыл бұрын
@@ForeverYoung007 What do you mean? Of course music is subjective but “Warning“ has so many bangers like Castaway, Hold On, Deadbeat Holiday, Blood Sex Booze, Misery, Warning, Minority etc
@ForeverYoung0074 жыл бұрын
@@rear5118 Check out the wiki page on the album. It mentions how they initially hired Litt as the producer but they had many disagreements and fired him. They brought in Cavallo to finish the album but by that time they had already produced it. So my take on it is the result you hear and to me its apparent. it sounds somewhat unfinished and like not much effort went into making it sound as good as it could have with the exception of a couple of released songs. I'm not saying its a "bad" album but it wasn't polished or produced for the level that it needed to be at as the successor to Nimrod. Just my 2 cents. If you look behind the scenes at how much work they put into American Idiot for example, it sounds like they didn't put the same amount of rigor into Warning. Maybe that was just a creative decision but it doesn't change my opinion that it sounds somewhat unfinished.
@rear51184 жыл бұрын
@@ForeverYoung007 This is true, but I still think it is a great album. The same goes for uno, dos, tré
@dylanburton49553 жыл бұрын
@@ForeverYoung007 You think what you think but I don't think it sounds unfinished at all, the tracklist is one of their most solid tracklistings that they've ever done.
