ok, I gotta ask how you do these. It can't be as simple as running it through a script/AI process, right?

It depends on the track. If there's an actual instrumental mix from a promo CD or otherwise then it is simpler. Generally, I'll pair up the instrumental with the original vocal track, and then use the vocal track as a guide for the video in Karaoke Builder Studio. Once the video portion is finished I'll swap out the vocal track with the instrumental. Green Day's Warning album has a promo CD. In other cases, I can use a script/AI, but I'd call that the more complicated alternative. Generally that involves several passes with multiple models and then combing through every created stem file to spectral edit any issues that arise. That can take anywhere from 5 to 15 hours per track. When I'm working from a straight instrumental mix, then production time is generally anywhere from 90 minutes to 3 hours per track.
