Thanks. To make these the first thing I do is learn the song on guitar, then I use a site called songster for drum and bass tabs. I program the drums first bar by bar, then I program the bass lines. I used to play the bass parts on keyboard but it became to time consuming. I play the chords and melodies on a small midi controller. There's typically no tabs out there for vocal lines so I learn those by ear, luckily Green Day is an older band so there's lots of isolated tracks floating around KZbin that I can use to help me learn the melody parts. Depending on the length of the song they usually take me between two to four days to complete. 21st Century Breakdown was the hardest album to record so far and some of the songs on it took me over a week to finish. I record in Logic Pro X and I used Clip Studio Paint to draw the album covers.
