This song was in my 25 year old sons phone. He died on 9-23-2014. His summers will never end. My heart just breaks everyday, but hes never gonna feel pain again. Just love. I've been raising his son, as my grandfather did for me. Hes 9 now and i recognize everyday, hes just like his dad. I got a do-over, but ive give my life for them to grow up together. Honor the tears, they cleanse the soul..

aye i really feel for you. This song my brother used to play greenday across from my room from our connecting bathroom, I could hear it all the time. He loved them as much as any kid could at that time. had posters all over his walls. Spiked his hair and started dressing emo. I remember him playing this song.. Different times man. I lost my brother( a stupid heroin overdose) when he was 25 as well in september of 2016...ironic. I could not wait for september end but the truth is, is that the rest of my life I will always have this incident and loss just there. Like always there. Life is jst not the same anymore

Short story behind the song... Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong wrote this song about his father, who died of cancer on September 1, 1982 when Billie was just 10 years old. At his father's funeral, Billie cried, ran home and locked himself in his room. When his mother got home and knocked on the door to Billie's room, Billie simply said, "Wake me up when September ends," hence the title. Pretty darn sad but awesome of BJA at the same time. If that's true... Is pretty cool.

I had cancer at 12 years old in 2006. Spend my birthday in the hospital at the end of August 2006. The doctors told me & my parents that I would be able to leave the hospital at the end of September if everything was okay. I already was a fan of Green Day at the time. This song became special to me. I'm 30 right now & completely healed. Reading all the comments from so many people who have a special story with this song shows how important & unique it is. Thanks Green Day.

Jesus is coming back this year!!! Believe in Him!!! There is no excuse for those who are accountable. Believe Him. Put your faith and trust in Him, His finish work that, He did on the cross of calvary. He paid for the admission of our sins. Past, present, and future sins. He died on the cross of calvary for our sins, He was buried and He rose again on the third day. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of one sin and that one sin is the sin of unbelief. All the lost sheep will be found and they will never lose their salvation.

Billie, the singer, wrote this about his father who tragically died in September when he was 10. He said, “Wake Me Up When September Ends”, to his mother when she checked on him after he ran home from the funeral because he couldn’t handle it. 7 years after his father passed, he joined Green Day, and 20 years after his dad passed, he and Green Day wrote the song. People absolutely can joke about this song, I’m just explaining the meaning of the title if anyone is curious. Edit: Thank you for all the likes! Green Day fans are the best! Edit in 2024. Crazy how like the lyrics in this song go, “20 years has gone so fast,” this album and song officially turn 20 years old this September 21st! 20 years really has gone so fast! Green Day forever!! 💚💚💚💚

This song was written by Billy Joe Armstrong in memory of his father who died of cancer on Sept 1, 1982 when he was 10 years old. I've listened to this song over 50 times, and each time streams of tears run down my face. The loss of one's parent can be very painful especially when one loses a parent as a child. Upon hearing the news of his father's death , Billy Joe told his mother "Wake me up when September ends". His father would have been so proud of his son if he knew how successful and well known he has become in the world of music.

Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong wrote this about his father, who died of cancer on September 1st, 1982 when Billie was just 10 years old. At his father's funeral, Billie cried, ran home & locked himself in his room. When his mother got home & knocked on the door to Billie's room, Billie simply said, "Wake me up when September ends," hence the title. (Edited:thanks for all the likes!)

Nigersaurus is a genus of rebbachisaurid sauropod dinosaur that lived during the middle Cretaceous period, about 115 to 105 million years ago. It was discovered in the Elrhaz Formation in an area called Gadoufaoua, in the Republic of Niger. Fossils of this dinosaur were first described in 1976, but it was only named Nigersaurus taqueti in 1999, after further and more complete remains were found and described. The genus name means "Niger reptile", and the specific name honours the palaeontologist Philippe Taquet, who discovered the first remains. Nigersaurus Temporal range: Aptian - Albian 115-105 Ma

I’m remembering when this music video came out when I was only a preteen & now I’m in my mid 20s. Time flies alright.

6:48 Tré cool doing random stuff, like every time he gets off the drums at the end of the song, he shows off like randomly in every TV late night shows. No kidding, he's cool and funny at the same time in my opinion. 😂

@@ericdarmawan9504 Some people like me don't know where you guys find all the songs... I mean, somebody told me about this song, but like there are so many songs that many people know and I'm just discovering. Am I so asocial or what? Like, I didn't know about the Queen and ABBA until I was like 14, 15 🤷♀️ sure, I heard some of their songs on radio, but how am I supposed to know the musicians and how these songs are called? How do people just know it?!
