Love bombing has become the new trap - so manipulative and so insidious. Sounds exactly like my recent ex. The key to getting out of that is perception/intuition.

girlllllllllllll, I went to new york for a guy that love-bombed me . This man paid for my flight I insisted on paying for my hotel, safety first. We spoke for three months, he would call me every day, he would send me flowers, and got me uber eats when I was sick. In the end, he was like let's just be friends . Ps I am from London. This is not a Korean thing I think the players have figured out the formula.

The whole story makes a lot more sense once we know the dude was nearly 40! In general older men treats you better. I have that theory that men your age (1-3 years gap) will not emphasis on the gentleman part but you have a lot of fun with them. Once the age gap is over 7 years, they really want to take care of you and and show you how masculine and charismatic they are. It is not really about the age but about the gap. While the story was QUITE FRUSTRATING ( dude be wasting people time like we are going nowhere in this lifetime) I feel like it happen a lot when for older men. So definitely not you.

I’m late to comment. But one thing I have realized living in Korea is regardless of the cultural difference you should trust your gut, intuition and/or God given discernment because it will save you a lot of time. Sorry this has happened to you but his humongous loss.

I didn't even know those were "green flags" lol. What I consider "green flags" are like the values they have and seeing if they are different or not from mine, for example: religious orientation, their position on socio-political issues (like capitalism, over-consumption, acucumulation of wealth, etc), on human rights (what they think about LGBTQ+ rights, feminism, misogyny, sexism, labor rights, racism, the immigrants situations and so much more). Those things are important to me and they are my green flags, these aspects are fundamental and non-negotiable (to me), is good to put them of the table. And it seems that these issues are difficult to bring up in a conversation but the reality is that when people talk, even sometimes in casual conversations, they express (intentionally or not) their position on all these issues plus the way they behave says a lot as well. And this is the bare minimum, bc the standard doesn't stop there, of course. Personality aspects also count, such as their temperament, their social life, their family relationships, their alcohol consumption, maybe also their job, and so on. Btw, maybe it's my personality but I always find the excessive politeness of some men (regardless of age) to be false and impostured. And that eagerness to be overly attentive and "gentlemen-like" has always seemed unnecessary to me. I prefer natural, genuine and relaxed interactions.

I think the other scary thing with korean/asian guys is they seem so timid/harmless/gentel/polite even other conservative cultures that are say Muslim it puts you at ease and then bam you're caught unawares by their douche behaviour or scandals like upskirt etc cos being a nice guy is just part of their "culture" whereas in other parts of the world generally you can really go by the way a person behaves to know if they are a gentleman or faking or easy going etc in these cultures showing your true colors even women is so punitive so everyone masks themselves by this mr/miss friendly persona. Really good to know even in not jumping into thinking friendships are that deep cos it could just be "politeness" lol

It happened to me, and he litteraly broke up with me on my birthday. At the beginning i thought he was going through a mental health crisis so i stood there for a week trying to understand and stuff and "support" him. Until he told me that he did NOT know, what he wanted. Hahahaa.. I never contacted him ever again after that. We worked together, it was THE WORST! I felt worthless, like a trash bag someone descarted. But in front of him i acted like i didn't care at all. Anyway, it took me 8 months to completely get over him. It's been almost a year now, since next week is my birthday again. I think this video was a present from God; so i won't feel alone (or CRAZY) and to, of course, close that chapter definitely! Thank you so much! ❤

23:00 maybe it’s just my high alert behaviour but a man like that would not leave a woman alone in his place foolishly. I have a feeling he had cameras in there. Obviously hidden. It’s way more common and sneaky in South Korea than you can imagine. They usually sell these hidden cam recording on highly exclusive teleogram channels.

And then after two months he told me he couldn’t handle the distance when we was only an hour an half apart 😂 then a month later he contacted me again telling me that he got spooked that we moved “too fast” 😂 like sir I feel like didn’t even share a damn thing a bout my life to u 😂
