Hi Sarah, Thanks for the great videos. I am bingeing. Please let me know if Old Forge is the recipe you use for Chun Seafoam. Thanks!

I use the one from John Britt's mid range glazes book. I believe I've been using a Neph Sye sub since it's cheaper. glazy.org/recipes/68509 I also sometimes just use the version with Soda Feldspar if I have more of that. I do always add 1 gram of cmc powder to that recipe. When you're using cmc in its dry form, go ahead and shake your dry ingredients together before adding the water. As long as you do that the cmc isn't hard to work with and that glaze needs it to keep from hard panning/ apply better.

It’s annoying having music in the background whilst you’re talking. I love this review on these glazes thank you for making this video ❤

Agreed, I've done away with the music in future videos.

May I ask what clay you use for your pottery? Wanted to try making a smoking tray for my tobacco pipe and wanted to try my hand with clay work again.
@threelittlepottersАй бұрын
That sounds like fun project! I use B-Mix5 by Laguna. If you don't have access to a kiln you might even be able to start with a bit of air dry clay.

Thanks, great video. Please explain what the "night" stain is - there's no link?
@threelittlepotters5 ай бұрын
It's this recipe: glazy.org/recipes/18705 The recipe is for a clear glaze that you can add mason stains too. Mason stains are sort of the food coloring of ceramics. You can add the colorant to the clear glaze. So for my night glaze, I use 5g of #6600 best black stain. The recipe link will show you examples with different colored stains. It's a way to mix your own celadon style glazes and obtain more exact colors.

@@Ellen.s.atelier I think if you just watch it and hit the thumbs up it helps! I am so new to this I really haven't figured it out yet. All I know is that I need to get to 1k subscribers and 4k watch hours, which seems like a lot!
