My Father and his family were immigrants from Eastern Europe and were given free land, 4 wooden acres in Manitoba, Canada . It took my Grandfather 2 years of blood and sweat to clear those acres, basically on his own. I see the dedication and love between you and your Dad and it makes my heart smile. Farmers are the real heroes of the World. God bless you and your family, Cole.

Clearing a heavily wooded area back in the day was a huge job. Your power was one, maybe two horses or mules and some picks and shovels. These days, Cole and Brian could do it before breakfast and make a good video of it. Times have changed. I wonder how many workers it would take then to work Sonne Farms without modern machinery. I always get a little depressed when Cole does 4 or 5 big jobs that would take me a month and then says "well it's lunch time now". What a man. Brian brought him up well.

Cole and Brian, I love how you two work together with your cows. You are like a well oiled machine. It seems you know what the other is thinking. It does this old man good to watch you on your journey. Great video. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed week.

The thing that impresses me the most about these guys is that when the necessary work it done, instead of popping a beer and sitting in front of the TV, they work on a project that will improve the farm for the future. Replace or build a fence. Put in better gates to make things easier. Cole is amazing with keeping the maintenance of the machinery up. It amazes me that he greases the machines each time he takes one out to work. They are building a farm for the new generations of Sonnes. You don't see that much anymore.

Hi Brian and Cole, Never a dull moment for you guys. I've been concerned about Brian. It's obvious that he has a lot on his mind. Hope all is well and we can get back to having a song of the day, 😊. I have the greatest respect for the work you do each day. I remember baling hay when I was 13 years old in Pennsylvania. Our model H Farmall, pulling the international baler ( maybe a model 46 - don't remember), slowly pushing the bale up the chute, onto the wagon where we stacked it, one bale at a time Later we were in the barn loft, restacking those same bales. I love the way you do it these days! Please take care of yourselves! Love you guys, Tom and Jane

Fields look so lush and green, I’m sure you will get a second cut this year. I know it’s muddy and a bit of a burden but remember same time last year all farmers were praying for rain. Like you said, all the dugouts are full of water for the cattle, yes you lost some crop to flooding but blessed with plentiful alfalfa and grass this year. Just remember…Good Problems . God Bless and stay safe. Give Ellie a good ear scratching for us, she’ is still “the boss” in our book!😇

Thanks for another great video Cole and Brian. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch. Nice job 👍 working your herd. They all look great on that green grass. That portable corral system you have is awesome to have. Makes working your herd a lots easier. You had a warm day and probably some humidity too work in. Nice to finish the herd later in the day when a bit cooler. You both are very fine herdsmen!!!!!!!! Sonny is really growing up fast. Such a nice little dog. Cute. You ground is really saturated. The portable corral leg sank right into the ground. Wow. Nice you had the tractor hooked to it. Got your cows and calf’s all treated. Can’t beat that. You both take care and be safe. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

Cole if this farming thing doesn’t work out for you then you can enter the Olympic Sonne Farms slappy javelin throwing contest. The cows were extra boisterous and the calves were doing a little parkour in the corral today. That’s what I call fresh beef. I think I’m just gonna start praying for safe, productive and profitable farming seasons for y’all.

I know he (Cole) might edit to make it look smoother, but I don’t think he does-every time right on the ball/hitch the first time he backs up-that is an underrated skill!
