This sounds like something that would play in a scenario where Sonic is defeated by Dr.Eggman and he takes over the world. First either killing Sonic or robotizising him, essentially making another Metal Sonic. He would then begin robotizising everyone he can to add them to his army of robots. Having the Metal Sonic at the front lines to scare everyone and show that their hero is no more. Nobody would be able to stop him. Not even Sonic’s friends would stand a chance, they would fight a long but futile fight. They would end up being defeated by Sonic even with their combined efforts and would suffer the same fate as him except for Shadow. Dr.Eggman would use him to make a bunch of Shadow androids. They would be his backup army if anything went wrong. Once Dr.Eggman had taken over the world he ruled with an iron fist. No one could stand up to him. If any robotizised person decided to disobey him he would have them destroyed and scrapped for parts. Dr.Eggman would die a sad and lonely death since he realized that since he robotizised EVERYONE and EVERYTHING he was the only human left there was nothing to do, he had it all but since he had everything there was nothing for him to acquire. And I just now realized that I made this comment way too long. So nice job for reading all of this, I guess

​@@hoyweon8949 I know your comment is 2 years old, but I'm pretty sure the reason the game was so hated was bc of how badly the characters were compared to other sonic games, especially Tails, because he was completely useless throughout the entire game and was relying on Sonic for everything, even though in sonic adventure, there was literally a whole story about Tails overcoming that and becoming more capable of doing things himself the other characters were pretty much the same way, they were just kinda there

I love this Song.. It's slow and so emotional. I know how some people have said that it feels sad and like a song for defeat.. But I feel it's more like a tender reminiscing song.. Somehow much more so at 1:27 I only get one image and it's this: I see an older mature Sonic who's now settled down. He has a family now.. And especially with how it ends at 2:26 makes me feel as if he's holding his baby son.. A lil blue hedgehog just like his dad who'll grow up to run at supersonic speeds just like he does And just seeing Sonic's eyes looking at the baby in his arms and remembering how he used to be when he was young.. The heritage and Legacy of Sonic The hedgehog passed down to his children.. That's the tender image I get from this song. It's not sad.. It's mellow...it's reminiscent of the past.. It looks back and reminds us of things in the past.. It's Nostalgic. Sure it starts very somber.. But the climax sets the real tone and its beautiful.. It's loving, nurturing, and tender.. It's almost like a lullaby.. helping the baby to go sleep in green hills.. And I love that it made me think of this. Thank you for such a beautiful cover.
