With all the hype about green hydrogen, some things surprise me. Namibia has the best DNI in the world after Chile. But the existing projects envisage using the power of only one sun with the PV solar power plants. But if you were to build suitable CSP power plants in Namibia, then you could harness the power of 1000 suns. This would have the particular advantage that, in addition to electricity, heat could also be generated directly from solar radiation. This is used for ammonia synthesis. The entire energy requirement would therefore come from a single source.
