Green lanes from Denmead to Basingstoke part 1

Hi, I'm new to this and just wondered how you know where the green lanes start, are they signposted from a main road usually. And how do you know they're legal tracks?

Hi most byways are sign posted as “byway “ if they have restricted byway on the sign the chances are it’s closed for vehicles. Byway maps are on line , type into Google for example Hampshire byway map and a definitive map will come up indicating the current status of the byways . Or you can purchase Landranger maps but this are generally not up to date . The easiest way would be to join a group like “Hampshire off-road” Facebook page which most are free or join the local TRF in you area . Anything else please ask
