Nice job! Looks like a great trail. Stand up on those pegs!

It was a great trail and I would have liked to have been able to stand up on the pegs but I was struggling with keeping a steady momentum going so bottled it! 😂

@@701Adventures You're doing great. Those TKX80 tires are making it a lot tougher in the muddy conditions. If you force yourself to stand, even when it feels awkward you will eventually get used to it and have more control

@@rlovell383 On my other most recent videos where I'm riding off-road I do stand up and find riding much easier when I do, I just lack confidence.

@@701Adventures Better tires will help tremendously. However, learning to ride well on tires with less grip is also great training for feeling the bike move around a lot. When you upgrade the tires you will feel like a hero.

@@rlovell383 I’ll look at switching the tyres back to Michelin Trackers or something similar, they performed reasonably well, they just didn’t last very long!

Thanks, I’m gradually gaining confidence, by the time I’m 80 I’ll be ready for Dakar! 😂😂

Good to see you getting offroad. It would help if you tried standing...much better balance. I have a 14 front sprocket, and much better on the slow stuff, and still good on the road.
@701Adventures Жыл бұрын
Yes I totally agree regarding the standing, I just couldn’t get the momentum going speed wise to get the stability for me to stand up. I’m going to keep practicing and gaining confidence. 👍

Bloody hell put some revs on it, not surprised your stalling it, also stand up on the more difficult bits.

Sir, Yes Sir. 😂It's a confidence thing, I'm very new to off road riding and it isn't a natural transition from riding on a road to this type of riding. 👍

P.S. I’d be happy to leave some feedback on your video from 10 months ago, the one with 6 views but you’ve turned comments off. 👍

Another Great video, and well done on giving it ago. I think you smashed it, and its all about what you feel comfortable doing i believe you got to trust your self and your bike. Im a novice to when it comes to enduro/greenlaning too. But honestly just getting out there and amongst it is the best way. Get wait for more videos. Hopefully i be able to get out soon. Will drop you a message. Be great to ride with someone.

Jay, thanks very much for the encouraging words. My problem is I lack confidence but looking back at my first ever ride off-road, I've obviously improved so I'm heading in the right direction. Whenever you fancy a ride, just drop me a message. 👍

At least you are having a go Steve, the guys who you were chatting to have obviously been 'off roading' for some time.......bike control in those conditions is about finding a speed that is comfortable for you to fell in control of your bike and that way confidence will build, I do't think your efforts were in any way "pathetic"...keep at it and you will improve I'm sure..well done...again the remote camera shots are excellent

Roger many thanks. 👍 It was a fairly tough little route but I did feel reasonably confident on it nevertheless. I just wanted to have a go on it which I did and of course I can return to it easily anytime I choose. I thought it was very nice of the guy to invite me along but I would have just been a hindrance to them. I’m going to keep practicing and who knows, one day I might be chasing them up that hill. 😂😂

I'm going down to 14 tooth front sprocket to keep the rpm a little more and swap tyres to tracker tyres and tubeless so l can run lower tyre pressure on my husqvarna 701 2022 model
@701Adventures Жыл бұрын
Yes I had Michelin Trackers on my other 701, they were far more suited to mud than what I am currently using. I’m going to look into converting my wheels to tubeless, are they still road legal if you do that conversion. I understand that you can’t run Moose’s on the road, is that correct?
@melvinjeffery5002 Жыл бұрын
Moose's are illegal on the road, tubliss allows you to run much lower pressure on tracker tyres and ok on the road.
