Mark Strong's Sinestro was fantastic & I was gutted (for the actor) that he didn't get the chance to do a sequel. I still don't really understand why GL gets so much hate,...even from Reynolds himself (in Deadpool) 😮 I have watched much worse superhero films than this over the years, including Superman 4, X-Men Origins Wolverine & Dark Phoenix 💩

Me too... Ryan was just fine, the script just sucked. DC/WB screwed it up by putting John Stewart (Hal's backup in the 70s books) in the animated JL. Unknowing viewers wondered why GL was white, since John Stewart was all they knew.

I will say the flying sequence was amazing, the theme especially. Even the casting choices for some of the characters were spot on Mark Strong and Ryan Reynolds were perfect Sinestro and Hal Jordan. Even Geoffrey Rush and Michael Clark Duncan as the voices of Tomar Re and Kilowog fit so well for their respective characters

I think Ryan Reynolds got Hal Jordan down perfectly! The problem was too many villains in the movie. Sinestro should have been the main foe, and Hector Hammond and Parallax should have been in the sequels.

Overall a cool movie, yes there were some questionable parts (Parallax and Hector Hammond for instance). But the Oa portions and Sinestro portions were bad-a**. Also LOVED how they showed the entire Corps. I seriously don't care if the suite was CG. I enjoyed this movie.

I love Green Lantern. It's a movie I can watch again from time to time and don't get sick of. The scene cuts were pretty fast! Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordon was perfect, Blake lively as Carol Soo pretty, and Mark Strong *IS* Sinestro. The last scene on Oa with his dialogue gave chills!

The cool detail of this scene is that each member of the Lantern Corp. is still speaking their native language from their POV. Due to the ring's effects, everyone is speaking the wearer's language in the latter's POV.

You may not have enjoyed the movie, but the cgi in it doesn't get enough credit, all this just because of the mask scene. It lives up above what the mcu delivers today and it's a no different formula. If anything, it aged well comparatively. It's a better movie than what most people claim, yourself included, but again, that is your personal opinion. Probably inspired off of Ryan's joke in deadpool, but your opinion.
